The Epistle of Jude
1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: 2 Mercy unto you, and peace and love be multiplied. 3 Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men who have crept in unawares, who were foreordained of old for this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who believed not.
6 And the angels who kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great Day-- 7 even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, in like manner giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8 Likewise also, these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil and disputing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke thee!" 10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not; but what they come to know naturally as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of Cain and have run greedily after the error of Balaam for their reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah. 12 These are spots on your feasts of charity when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear. Clouds they are without water, carried about by winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, "Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of His saints 15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all who are ungodly among them of all their godless deeds which they have godlessly committed, and of all the harsh speeches which godless sinners have spoken against Him."
16 These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, giving admiration to men's persons to gain advantage. 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last times who would walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a difference; 23 and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24 Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 to the only wise God our Savior be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and ever. Summary of the Book of Jude - Bible Survey
Sins that have not been repented of and forsaken will not be pardoned and blotted out of the books of record, but will stand to witness against the sinner in the day of God. He may have committed his evil deeds in the light of day or in the darkness of night; but they were open and manifest before Him with whom we have to do. Angels of God witnessed each sin and registered it in the unerring records.
Sin may be concealed, denied, covered up from father, mother, wife, children, and associates; no one but the guilty actors may cherish the least suspicion of the wrong; but it is laid bare before the intelligences of heaven. The darkness of the darkest night, the secrecy of all deceptive arts, is not sufficient to veil one thought from the knowledge of the Eternal.
God has an exact record of every unjust account and every unfair dealing. He is not deceived by appearances of piety. He makes no mistakes in His estimation of character. Men may be deceived by those who are corrupt in heart, but God pierces all disguises and reads the inner life.
These passages from Book of Isaiah, Psalms, and Book of Micah all deliver one unified message. God rejects prayers from people who live in violence. Sin and wrongdoing create separation from God, and leaders who abuse power or distort truth will be judged. Repent of these sins!
Isaiah 1:15
When you spread out your handsĀ in prayer,
Ā Ā Ā Ā I hideĀ my eyes from you;
even when you offer many prayers,
Ā Ā Ā Ā I am not listening.
Your handsĀ are full of blood!
Psalm 11:5
TheĀ LordĀ examines the righteous,
Ā Ā Ā Ā but the wicked, those who love violence,
Ā Ā Ā Ā he hates with a passion.
Isaiah 59:2-3
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
2 Corinthians 5:10Ā
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
Matthew 10:28Ā
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Micah 3-12
Then I said,
āListen, you leadersĀ of Jacob,
Ā Ā Ā Ā you rulers of Israel.
Should you not embrace justice,
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā you who hate good and love evil;
who tear the skin from my people
Ā Ā Ā Ā and the flesh from their bones;
Ā who eat my peopleās flesh,
Ā Ā Ā Ā strip off their skin
Ā Ā Ā Ā and break their bones in pieces;
who chopĀ them up like meat for the pan,
Ā Ā Ā Ā like flesh for the pot?ā
Then they will cry out to theĀ Lord,
Ā Ā Ā Ā but he will not answer them.
At that time he will hide his faceĀ from them
Ā Ā Ā Ā because of the evil they have done.
This is what theĀ LordĀ says:
āAs for the prophets
Ā Ā Ā Ā who lead my people astray,
they proclaim āpeaceā
Ā Ā Ā Ā if they have something to eat,
but prepare to wage war against anyone
Ā Ā Ā Ā who refuses to feed them.
Therefore night will come over you, without visions,
Ā Ā Ā Ā and darkness, without divination.
The sun will set for the prophets,
Ā Ā Ā Ā and the day will go dark for them.
The seers will be ashamed
Ā Ā Ā Ā and the diviners disgraced.
They will all coverĀ their faces
Ā Ā Ā Ā because there is no answer from God.ā
But as for me, I am filled with power,
Ā Ā Ā Ā with the Spirit of theĀ Lord,
Ā Ā Ā Ā and with justice and might,
to declare to Jacob his transgression,
Ā Ā Ā Ā to Israel his sin.
Hear this, you leaders of Jacob,
Ā Ā Ā Ā you rulers of Israel,
who despise justice
Ā Ā Ā Ā and distort all that is right;
who buildĀ Zion with bloodshed,
Ā Ā Ā Ā and Jerusalem with wickedness.
Her leaders judge for a bribe,
Ā Ā Ā Ā her priests teach for a price,
Ā Ā Ā Ā and her prophets tell fortunes for money.
Yet they lookĀ for theĀ Lordās support and say,
Ā Ā Ā Ā āIs not theĀ LordĀ among us?
Ā Ā Ā Ā No disaster will come upon us.ā
Therefore because of you,
Ā Ā Ā Ā Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble,
Ā Ā Ā Ā the templeĀ hill a mound overgrown with thickets.
God will hold us responsible at the Judgment Seat of Christ for how well we fulfilled our responsibilities and took advantage of our opportunities.

John 5:25-30 NLT 25Ā āAnd I assure you that the time is coming, indeed itās here now, when the dead will hear my voiceāthe voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.Ā 26Ā The Father has life in himself, and he has granted that same life-giving power to his Son.Ā 27Ā And he has given him authority to judge everyone because he is the Son of Man.Ā 28Ā Donāt be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of Godās Son,Ā 29Ā and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.Ā 30Ā I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.
