My Ramblings: People pleaser
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. —Galatians 1:10 NLT I am sorely guilty of being a people pleaser, not liking it when others get angry at me and so will seek people's approval. It's sad, too because God actually proved His love for me and is eternally for me while man will abandon you if it benefits him. It's most certainly better to receive approval from God than man. In a devotion, it pointed out how Paul was straightforward and spoke harsh words to the Christians in Galatia, but obviously he spoke out of love because he didn't want them to "remain on the wrong track." Instead of confronting others with their bad behavior, I would just pray for them. Prayer is good, but it's also good to correct, and if they receive it, praise God. If they don't, keep them in your prayers that they will receive.
