i don’t really know about french guys but italian guys are animals that never learned how to control/ behave themselves in public... like i don’t give a fuck if that’s their culture and that they generally say *nice things* and not ‘great ass’ or smth like that but it is so sad to watch when women get excited & happy that it was an italian man that catcalled her??

like, if i put on the appearance of doing well and being fine then she’s super nice and supportive but the moment i say i’m struggling or not doing well any semblance of emotional support is instantly withdrawn and she’ll try to pile on me by telling me it’s my fault because i’m lazy, don’t work hard, etc, as if one doesn’t need support the most precisely when they’re *not* having an easy time of things. it’s so fucked up

no its not annoying at all its just so fucked up! i will defend eastern european women for the rest of my life

OH MY GOD I KNOW RIGHT??? i actually wanted to add smth in the tags about how especially heartbreaking it is to watch when slavic/eastern european women get excited about that?? italian men think so low of them and... they Like it?? only because these men r from italy? god.......... when will we Learn...

Wow, I’m really sorry that’s horrible, especially for your parents. You should really call people out on it though - I have to admit that as a kid, we had a friend who’s dad was from Poland and he had a super thick accent, but our friend called us out for making fun of it and we all stopped immediately (then again, we were children, people in their 20s should know better). Also what really frustrates me w/ this guy is that he’s in my program studying Eastern and Central Europe!!! He really should know better!! And other Frenchies from my program went to Bulgaria w/ my best friend (who is Bulgarian) and were “surprised” to see that there is beautiful nature in Bulgaria?? As if the whole country is concrete and krushchovkas??? Ugh anyway I’m really sorry for how my fellow North Americans treat your family, I really wish people would realize that just because some immigrants are white doesn’t mean that you can be so disrespectful
