i should actually make Tag Key for my plays bc i realize abbreviating them every time i talk about them makes it so hard to figure out what the fuck is happening. so here's Current Plays RN
TDODJ: the death of don juan, metatheatrical tragicomedy based on the don juan story in which characters find the script, realize the titular character will die at the end of the play, and have various opinions on it (this is on like draft 5 or something but it is 'complete' in that you could read it from beginning to end)
TUIC: the unicorn in captivity, bawdy 70s queer sex farce based on the figaro plays in which a woman tries to marry a man 20 years younger than her while also not yet realizing she's a lesbian ('wait both this and tdodj share inspo with mozart operas is that-' Shut) (see above but this one is younger so its more like on draft 2)
GNMC: good night, mr coconut, tragicomedy about a web forum for preteens shutting down and the various preteens in question having to deal with it (with the stage itself being the forum so at no point do we as an audience see the characters outside of their virtual world and identities), ironically this one probably has one of the longest tags but its so HARD for me to figure out (this is actually unfinished. but its coming together. slowly. longly. trust)
UTP: untitled trovatore play (it doesn't have a name yet) medieval bacchanalian theatre-of-cruelty thing taking VERY LOOSE inspo from trovatore and more direct inspo from medieval bestiaries (and how a lot of bestiaries were written from various perspectives of control and fear). i'm tinkering this one its being thought about
TLD: the last dog, basically a socratic dialogue between laika and her trainer in purgatory. this one actually has a finished draft its been in readings but i feel so unsatisfied with it i think i need to take a while before revisiting it
