despite any jokes i may make about Nakan and Tonkla still being secretly alive and together, and as mad as i am that GMMTV clearly wasted the set up for a beautiful messy toxic relationship and that they cheated us out of more on screen make outs between Neo and Mond, i'm gonna put out there that the most likely reason is that GMMTV are cowards because Mond and Neo are both in public het relationships with women.
Mond has been publicly dating Baitoey for years at this point and Neo has been dating a model named Mint more recently, and they (GMMTV) probably don't feel like they can promote the two of them as a pair because the illusion that they might be dating each other or at least banging is already ruined, and creating any implications they might be romantically involved could damage their relationships and/or their public images because that would involve cheating on their real life partners, and GMMTV doesn't want to be responsible for that.
having Boston and Boeing even briefly interact and hook up in Only Friends followed by their characters pairing romantically on screen again relatively soon was most likely too risky of a prospect for the company to let us get more from them, and it's a shame because it could have made the story for My Golden Blood better and deeper.
oh well. i'll just have to live with my headcanon that Nakan and Tonkla are both alive and dream of the things that could have been, and shake my fist at the cowardice of GMMTV. again.
