Yay! I was smiling the entire time I was reading too (with a bit of tears). Imagine if he got to write a biography too, damn
Tbh, part of me wanted Joey to stay with korn cus I'm biased and bc I thought those dudes are so damn chill (at least in comparison to how sk members talk about what it's like to be in the band). So when he got to Sherry the band's chef part I was like 'YOU COULD'VE STAYED FOR THE GOOD FOOD 😫'
Also i just learned about the Ministry thing recently was that true? Cus then joey was a fucking saint for still touring with them
I remember him talking about writing a biography, but i think he said it got rejected at some point. I don't know why or if he did manage to write anything before passing away. I wish we'd gotten it ):
AND YEAH COULD YOU IMAGE JOEYS INFLUENCE ON KORN SONGS... But at the same time it would mean we didn't get All Hope Is Gone, and what would we do without his drumming on Psychosocial, Dead Memories and Gehenna.
But speaking on Joey's other bands, i've noticed this pattern of whenever Slipknot had a break between albums- with Joey at least- there was so much animosity towards him joining other bands during this time from Slipknot themselves. Like Shawn especially refused to talk to Joey (Or Corey during Stone Sour) when he was playing with the likes of the Murderdolls.
According to Joey himself there was a whole year where Shawn just didn't talk to him because he thought he was abandoning Slipknot for these other projects. And I was talking to Acey about this and he said out of Slipknot, only Corey and Paul actually supported Joey's projects outside of Slipknot; the other guys were totally against it and shirked him for it. It made Joey so spiteful that he'd purposely book Murderdolls tours so he didn't have to go back to working on the Slipknot album at the time.
As for Ministry it is true! He got fucked up real bad, cried himself to sleep apparently. Bless him. But he must've left on good terms because he was due to tour with them in 2018 even though he dropped out of it.
