The voice comes to her as if from underwater, as the room swims in its own colors. She takes a step away from it and bangs her shin on the back of a couch, stumbling and bracing against it with sudden hands. Didn't know it was there. There's an echo of shock in that realization. Elektra is frighteningly aware of her surroundings, her own motion through space. But god, her arms are shivering with the effort to keep herself upright and the ground beneath her feet.
"It will pass," she grits out. So much like a wounded dog baring teeth against all others. But Karen, whatever else she may be, is not a threat. A few moments of focus, of bearing, and her nervous system slows enough for her strength to return. She exhales a deeply held breath.
Karen had vertigo enough as a stupidly reckless teenager enough to notice the signs. A haste to heal doesn't grant the wish. She allows the woman her pride, eyes training on Elektra's trembling arms until they steady. Seizing the opportunity, Karen grasps her elbow and guides her around the couch to sit down.
"Maybe you should take it a little easier. We don't know how long you were catatonic under midland circle." They can guess, but that doesn't help medically. "Jessica said she barely felt a pulse when she found you near the site. That fast healing might not work anymore."
