Glook is a crudibranch, a one-of-a-kind entity that lives in liminal spaces. He thrives with a goofy villainous personality and is a general nuisance to those who encounter him
Don't have much of a story for him yet, but here's some fun facts about the process:
Crudibranch: "crude" (he's incredibly snarky and kinda rude) and "nudibranch" (sea slugs)
Liminal spaces have sort of a limbo atmosphere, so I designed him to have a sort of grim reaper look, having him look like he's wearing a hood of sorts and the goopy "skull" on his face. It was originally going to be solid, but making his face more squishy gives way to more fun expressions while still keeping that general shape.
As for his color palette, Liminal spaces have a range of colors, mostly warm tones with cool overlays, giving the person the uneasy feeling of what the atmosphere is supposed to lean towards. So to try and capture that, I chose chartreuse for his accents since it's not quite a warm or cool-toned color, giving way to that back and forth. And then giving him a more muted and mucky tone for his body, since a wide range of spaces are abandoned and forgotten.
