chan park was born on the Lord’s day in 1994 to nina and dongwook park. his mother, nina is a professor of modern languages at stanford university and his father, dongwook is a professor of architectural design at stanford as well as the owner of sunday and park, an architecture firm. despite his father immigrating to california, he worked hard and put himself through college. after obtaining a degree in architecture, he went on to obtain his real estate agent and broker’s license -- he is now responsible for building some of the priciest homes in the palo alto area. 

chan grew up with pretty much anything he could have ever wanted, and was easily one of those kids that received a brand new car on his sixteenth birthday. he graduated from palo alto high school in may of 2012, and it’s no surprise that he ended up attending stanford, where he got a degree in philosophy and religious studies. he graduated in 2016.

he didn’t necessarily like the degree that he was getting, but he did it to appease his parents ( by simply getting a degree ) and his grandfather ( who just so happens to be a priest in busan ). sunday is a really important day in his family, and despite his currently insane schedule, he always goes to palo alto to attend church with his parents at least once in a month.

while on summer vacation in bora bora with some friends from college in 2013, chan’s social media following really blew up. he went from about 25k to 175k seemingly overnight after sharing his escapades on instagram, and became a sensation.

chan had a few friends who were studying photography / videography, so once she semester struck back up in 2013, he decided that it was time to “build his brand”.

natascha cassandra rutherford araújo was born to wealthy parents named kimberley and emilio araújo. kimberley was a major socialite in the 90s, who often ran in the circles of naomi campbell, kate moss, and various others. while she did ‘settle down’ a little early in the 90s due to getting married and starting a family, kimberley didn’t disappear from the public eye. she married well when she met businessman and entrepreneur emilio, who had two hotels and resorts under his belt with the plans to expand.

        while  marcia  was  able  to  stay  in  america  much  longer  than  she  was  legally  supposed  to  ,  eventually  she  was  facing  deportation  ,  which  meant  lil  sofie  ,  with  her  citizenship  finally  confirmed  ,  was  put  into  the  hands  of  her  father  who  sent  off  to  an  american  boarding  school  in  new  york  without  even  contacting  her  .  she  would  spend  the  summers  in  brazil  with  her  mother  or  ,  as  she  got  older  ,  couch - surfing  with  different  friends  throughout  the  months  .  she  started  growing  apart  from  her  mother  as  she  aged  since  she  wasn’t  going  home  every  summer  since  she  didn’t  rly  feel  any  connection  to  brazil  .  her  grandfather  had  passed  away  &  she  only  has  faint  memories  grandmother  ,  plus  the  city  wasn’t  at  all  familiar  to  her  &  she  wasn’t  practicing  her  portuguese  after  her  mother  returned  to  brazil  .

         through  it  all  ,  music  was  proving  to  be  the  one  constant  in  her  life  she  could  use  to  escape  from  reality  .  she  had  never  done  any  training  or  classes  ,  but  she  just  liked  singing  along  to  whatever  was  on  the  radio  & practicing  on  her  own  .  she  also  found  a  passion  for  writing  poetry  which  she  later  would  realize  was  compatible  with  music  .  she  would  spend  HOURS  in  the  school  library  working  on  garage  band  lmfao  bc  she  couldn’t  afford  her  own  laptop  to  produce  music  &  her  dad  sent  just  enough  money  as  he  was  legally  supposed  to  .  but  she  worked  her  lil  tushy  off  &  applied  to  a  music  academy  in  nyc  &  was  rejected  the  first  year  (  DEVASTATING  when  mixed  with  her  impostor  syndrome  &  daddy  issues ) but  she  practiced  more  &  more  &  edned  up  getting  accepted  the  next  year  .  here  ,  she  worked  on  her  vocal  skills  &  music  production  ,  &  started  accumulating  her  own  music  &  selling  songs  to  music  producers  on  the  side  for  some  ca$h  money  .

        sofie  blames  it  on  her  brazilian  heritage  but  this  bitch  loves  a  party  !!  like  shes  the  one  who  gets  happy drunk  at  the  pre  then  is  the  first  on  the  dance  floor  then  later  falls  out  of  the  club  &  into  some  rando’s  bed !!  in  the  back  of  her  mind  she  knows  her  drug  &  alcohol  use  is  self - destructive  but  she  figures  shes  allowed  to  let  loose  sometimes (  even  if  that  ends  up  being  most  nights  )  ;  rly  she’s  just  in  denial  bc  she  doesn’t  want  to  change  her  ways  &  lose  her  identity  !!

when sahira started school at the professional performing arts school , she didn’t expect to be in such a large group of like talented people , so at first she was hit with anxiety & a little bit of depression because she had been seen as extraordinary in her old school , but at the arts school her talent was the norm & you needed to have that special something to stick out of the pack

at first her motivation lacked , she didn’t see how she could compete or even compare to the other voices in her grade or even her school

but after she found her people in the school ( could be a wanted connection ) she was able to vent to them & with them about being amazing & then suddenly being “ ordinary ” at this school

the group that sar got into were not your typical high school crowd , they were all kids that fought for their places in the school & they all sacrificed a lot to be there , giving up a “ normal ” middle & high school experience

instead of worrying for prom & parties , sahira was more worried about writing enough songs & her performance at auditions ( during her time in high school she became very into musicals )

because she was a songwriter she did stand out to her teachers & others , she was actually able to sell the first rights to one of her songs when she was fifteen years old

from then , her songs interested a lot of popular singers & bands , soon she would hear her songs on top 50 radios 

she sold the rights to her songs up until she graduated high school , the money from the songs helping to pay for school

once she graduated she thought about going to juilliard or berklee for college , but when an agent approached her with an opportunity to record her own songs she couldn’t pass it up

sahira was quick to leave paterson & nyc for la for the opportunity of a lifetime

she spent the first couple of months in la getting comfortable with being in a recording studio & fighting for her songs to be how she envisioned them 

her agent & the music producer weren’t always happy with the choices that sahira made , but she fought them tooth & nail for her songs to be how she wanted them

even though she signed with a recording company when she was seventeen , after she graduated high school , she didn’t release her first album until she was twenty years old , wanting to perfect her self titled album

in the meantime she made some singles with popular artists like the chainsmokers , g-eazy & kygo 

those singles with her voice put her on the map during the two plus years that she was spent perfecting her album

after her album was released she became a hit overnight , she was popular before but soon she was the breakout star of the year
