Edgeworth turned to leave the pet store before the owner called to him and wished him a good day. He was a regular here, getting food for Pessy. Happily, he turned to nod graciously at the owner but, in his haste, he tripped over the exit and bumped into a woman walking past, causing her to drop whatever it was she was holding.

Nine-fifteen in the morning, and Mia was still in bed. She lazily peered at her alarm clock and all but jumped out of her bed in shock. She had slept in by an hour! She frantically got ready for work, hoping Grossberg wouldn't be too cross with her.

She hastily rose to her feet, brushing herself off.
