Name: Paige Shaw
Hometown: Motostoke (Galar)
Specialist Type: N/A
A new trainer on the scene, Paige is only just finding her footing as a trainer. Though she and her friends recently finished their course at the Goldenbeak Academy on Whitewood Island, she's still not confident on battling. As such, to celebrate her victory, her friend Quinn Simmons has insisted that they celebrate with tickets to watch the Pokemon World Tournament.
Still early in her career as a trainer, Paige's starter Pokemon was her Sobble. Shy and easily scared, her Sobble often hides away in the hood of their trainer. Unfortunately, her habit of turning invisible means Paige may be unaware of her presence when putting up her hood, leading to a few mishaps. Nonetheless, Sobble never feels safer than with Paige, and refuses to leave her for any reason.
Upon joining the Goldenbeak Academy, Paige's caught her first Pokemon... or rather it caught itself. During practice, Paige dropped one of her Pokeballs, and this ditzy little Eevee accidentally bonked into it. Still, she's very social and affectionate, though her perception, and let's face it, survival instincts could do with improvement, with Paige constantly having to recall Eevee before she gets herself into trouble. Paige' s final Pokemon, only just caught upon arriving to mainland Akkadios, is a Glimmartin. Despite their timid nature, a flock of Glimmartin mistook Paige for a perch, and though Paige panicked and most of the flock fled, this one Glimmartin stayed. Though shy like its kind, this little Glimmartin is trying to improve for Paige, doing its best when battling for its trainer.
Though she feels out of her depth amongst many accomplished trainers, Paige has found new friends in several of the competitors. Rachel Wheels has already taken a shine to her, coming to her defence when a pair of Team Decept grunts were hassling Paige, and Paige herself has found herself fascinated by the work of Maxine Britt. And Maxine's Glaceon is certainly trying to act as a role model to Paige's Eevee... even if the little Eevee is quite oblivious to this fact.
