As we've seen, the whole body possession thing doesn't mean you force the original soul out. It stays trapped inside the body and can even manage to retake control. The original soul and the possessor can have internal conversations as we saw with Nica and Chucky. The human twins were born so that doll Glen(da) could possess them, but Glen(da) doing so didn't force the original twin souls out. When one of the twins use singular "we," it's not actually singular. They're talking about themself and the original soul.

Glen(da) is a bigender icon who deserves all the love in the world. I really appreciate that the writers put in a scene where Chucky and Tiffany are aruguing over their child’s gender, Glen(da) tells Chucky and Tiffany what THEY want, what THEY wish to identify as which is both male and female. Reminder that this was in the early 2000’s when things like gender transition and sexual identity was still taboo. And Chucky and Tiffany support and love their child deapite the fact that Glen does not wish to harm others unlike his female side Glenda who is just as psychotic as their parents.
