The little things. #1
So, the title of this blog is "I should be an old lady...anything and everything that makes me what I am". Â I realized, however, that I have not been sharing many of the weird little things that actually make me who I am. You know that I think cats are adorable and that's probably it.Â
What I'm going to try to do is keep a list of the little things I notice on a daily basis that make me the person I am. I'm going to shoot for a full year. 365 days = 365 entries. Based on how things usually go when I try to do a year of "stuff", I'll probably last about two weeks, but I'm going to give it a shot.
I will give you a disclaimer now...I can't promise what will be in this run of blurbs. I might curse. I might talk about very private things. I might do both those things at the same time. If I offend you, I apologize, but you probably shouldn't follow me anymore :)
Okay, I'll start out with an easy one:
1. I would rather drink milk out of a plastic glass than a glass glass.Â
I realized this a few weeks ago when I wanted a little milk to go with a cookie or something I was eating. I picked up one of the small juice glasses we have in our kitchen and poured my milk. When I took a sip, I realized that I didn't like the taste. The milk was fine, not expired or anything, and the glass was clean. There was just something about the combination that I didn't like. I think I have always preferred to have my milk this way, but I don't think I really realized it until then. Interesting. I have had people ask me before if I want glass or plastic when they offer me a drink and I never really understood why it mattered...but now I do. And so do you :)
