★ ★ ★ ★ ☆  [What ELSE did this author write!] These were truly interesting books.  The setting was dramatic and the storyline angsty, which I normally do not like.  But these pulled it off very well.  I could feel the tension.  I bought the entire series.  Well done Avery, and I look forward to the rest of the series.
