Crying while reading the Fall. Forgot how sad Torey was, how close he was to completely giving up on himself and everything. I love this book so much, so so so so so so much. I think if I had to keep one book with me forever it would be this one.

The problem with listening to the Executive Office books is that John Solo’s voice for Ethan is basically the voice of Reese in Person of Interest. Next thing I know I'm rewatching PoI and getting sad because they don't make tv like this anymore.
Book: "You & Me" by Tal Bauer.
I have heard a lot of good things about this author and it didn't disappoint.
It's romantic, has no tragedy and it leave me with a good feeling.
The relationships between the dads and their sons is great. I keep waiting for a fight about the secret relationship and it didn't happen. This kind of book heals something others books in the past and years of movies have created. That expectation. That feeling of something bad coming. And here it just didn't happened. I love that.
I also love the bi-awakening. It was kind of like mine. Luke just accepted right away his attraction for Landon and went with it. But merit to him for doing it in his 40s (I did it at 19) and not freaking out.
Really good read.
Read between 6-12th July, 2026.
there's nothing better than a beloved character who's hit rock bottom
rereading The Fall by Tal Bauer bc I deserve beauty, delight and wonder in my life

Anyway. Finished with the Executive Office reread and I promised myself I’m going to get through Sasha and Sergey’s spin off this time. I love them, I love what they represent, but whatever Tal did to translate things into Russian seriously hurt my brain the first few times I tried to read it. This time though... you can hold me to it.
still my favorite part of the whole series
I think in general it’s good for authors to keep a certain distance from their readers on social media. Except for Tal Bauer. His whole “only posts book announcements once every few years” deal makes me sad. I want to know everything there is to know about these fictional characters. I have so many questions. And yet.
