Mr. Telsa, beaming in accomplishment and anticipation, urges GLaDOS to look at the monitors to a large empty testing chamber with two of his ‘tesla coils’ in the center of it. Priscilla is standing in one of the windowed viewing rooms ready to press a pedestal button at Tesla’s signal to begin.
“If I may have your attention, I am most eager to show you the results of a new usecase for one of my scientific inventions. After months of diligent effort, I would like to present it as a gift to you, cara mia.”
They had apparently developed this project back on their side of the time gate and had just now snuck it into an empty test chamber by covering up the cameras with sheets. Of course, she’d noticed the covered-up camera feeds immediately and had been watching them suspiciously until now, when finally, the sheets were removed.
“What?” she responded to him, making her presence known. Her cameras turned, surveying the contents of the room as he gave his introduction and then subsequently activated his invention. And what it did was astounding. Well, not technologically — it wasn’t complicated at all, by her standards, but it was certainly unique. It was science and music. Two of her favorite things in the world all rolled up into one.
“Oh...” she uttered softly in awe. She hated to admit it, but she was mildly impressed. “Science that makes music... I like it.”
