Summary: As Thomas explores the glade after his arrival and tour, he notices you, the only female, standing up to Gally.
Warnings: Possible language, arguments
It had only been a few hours since Thomas arrived, but his restless curiosity was already getting the better of him. The glade was massive - too big, too strange - and every corner seemed to whisper with secrets he wasnât supposed to know yet.
Newt and Alby had both warned him not to get into trouble. Naturally, that only made him want to explore more.
He wandered aimlessly for a while, taking in the rows of crude shelters, the gardens, and the distant, towering walls that framed the glade like a cage. Then, the sound of raised voices caught his attention.
Thomas followed the noise until he saw Gally in the middle of a group of gladers, barking orders at them like he owned the place. From the way the others flinched or avoided his gaze, maybe he did, or at least thought he did.
Thomas stopped beside Newt, who was standing a few feet away, arms crossed, watching the argument unfold.
âHe always like this?â Thomas asked quietly.
âMostly,â Newt replied, not taking his eyes off Gally.
Thomas frowned, watching as Gally kicked over a bucket and started yelling about someone slacking off on their job. Then something else caught his eye. You.
You were walking straight toward Gally. Confident. Calm. The other gladers noticed too, stepping back as you approached, like they knew what was about to happen.
âWhat is she doing?â Thomas asked, eyes narrowing.
Newt smirked faintly. âJust watch.â
Thomas did.
Gally turned as you came up beside him, his tone still sharp. âStay out of this, Y/n. This isnât your section.â
You crossed your arms. âMaybe not, but you donât get to scream at people just because youâre having a bad day.â
Gallyâs jaw tensed. âIâm keeping order.â
âYouâre being a pain,â you shot back. âThereâs a difference.â
A few gladers snickered quietly. Gallyâs glare silenced them, but the damage was done - youâd challenged him, and you werenât backing down.
Thomas couldnât help the grin tugging at his lips. For a moment, Gally looked like he might explode, but instead, he huffed, muttered something under his breath, and stormed off.
You turned to the others, gave a few quick instructions, and they scattered back to work. Then your eyes flicked briefly toward Thomas and Newt - and for a heartbeat, Thomas swore you were looking right at him.
âWho is she?â Thomas asked, still watching as you walked away.
Newt finally looked at him, one corner of his mouth lifting. âThat, Greenie, is someone you donât want to mess with.â

thomas x reader
a/n: this is a short little blurb
You and Thomas finally get some peace and quiet
masterlist
The stars are beautiful tonight.
Thomas has stayed up with you to put out the fire. The boys have died down, all heading back to the homestead and their cots, leaving you to do the customary duties of putting out the fire and brushing up.
Thomas folds up a few blankets, setting the old CD player down on the growing pile, before picking up the cups and glasses from the night- and Gallyâs special drink. You watch him, your gaze drifting over him dazedly, and up to the stars.
A sudden beat drops. You snap your gaze to Thomas, whose hand is hovering over the play button. The other, he uses to beckon you over to him.
You saunter over, lacing your fingers behind his neck, pulling his face close to yours, staring into his copper eyes, the warm campfire light ricocheting off his irises. You begin swaying with him to the beat of the music, eyes sliding shut, foreheads touching.
âI love you,â he whispers. âYou could never know how much.â
you lean your head on his shoulder, humming along. Thereâs never been a stop to the butterflies he gives you, even as his arms pull you in by the waist, flush against him.Â
âYouâre cute,â You tel him, reminiscent of the first time you ever met him. He pulls back, inches from your lips.
âAnd youâre beautiful.â
you close your eyes again, lips finally touching his.
Itâs a beautiful night in the glade, and youâre just happy to be here, slow dancing under the stars with your love.
Warnings: very slight maze runner spoilers (first book/movie), cursing?, let me know if I missed any :)

Summary: Apparently having one day of peace and quiet is too much to ask for in the glade
A/N: This is my first tmr fic- hope you enjoy, it took me forever
Please donât plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but Iâm asking that you donât steal my hard work
You settled down against the outside wall of the homestead, and let out a small sigh of contemptment as the bright sun beat down on your face. The small breeze gently blew your hair, keeping you from sweating.
In other words, the day was as perfect as it could possibly get in the Glade.
Earlier that day the box had come up during its regular monthly time and brought up a new greenie as well as some boxes with the normal supplies. This time though, in one of the boxes was a book. There werenât many of those in the Glade.
None of the boys seemed to have any interest in it, so you had taken it upon yourself to take it before it turned into fuel for the upcoming bonfire that night.
You donât remember learning how to read, but you knew you could and you wanted to see what it was like.
It was your day off and you decided that you wanted to take full advantage of it.
You opened the cover, ready to dive into the new world when all of a sudden a voice called out your name, âY/n!â
You looked up to see Chuck sprinting towards you as fast as he could, his face red as he panted.
Quickly closing your book, you stood up, âWhat is it Chuck?â You asked in concern, scanning the boy's body for any injuries.
He doubled over, resting his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath, âGally⌠trying to kill⌠me for spilling⌠water all over⌠himâŚâ he finally managed to get out in between breaths.
You looked over his shoulder and just on cue, you saw a fuming Gally storming your way.
You sighed and moved to step in front of Chuck, blocking the young boy from the older one's wrath.
âMove Y/n.â He seethed once he was closer.
You changed your voice to a way that made it dip and crack in certain parts as you spoke, âThis here boy is under my protection!â You grinned as you heard Chuck giggle from behind you.
Gally crossed his arms and glared even harder at you, âHe spilled water on me!â He said through gritted teeth.
You took a moment to think about how to answer, âWell at least you're cooler now, it is a really hot day.â
This made the boy pause, before he rolled his eyes again and stalked off, mumbling incoherently. But you thought you caught some words, including, kill, lucky, and pasta.
You turned to Chuck who looked at you with wide, grateful eyes, âThank you n/n.â He beamed.
You patted him on the back, âDonât mention it, Chucky. I would just stay away from Gally for a little while.â
The boy nodded before hurrying away.
You chuckled and turned around to go and read your book again.
Sitting down with a sigh, you opened your book back up and tried again to start reading the first sentence.
You got two words in before another voice started calling your name.
You looked up in a bit of annoyance, but saw Frypan and quickly replaced the look with a smile.
Shielding your eyes from the bright sun, you looked up as he approached and then stood in front of you, his face sporting his normal large grin.
âMind helping me out in the kitchen for a few minutes?â He asked that smile of his.
You let out a small, unnoticeable sigh and quickly glanced longingly at your book before putting on a smile of your own, âSure, Fry. Lead the way.â
Even though it was your day off, you didnât mind helping. You really didnât. You just really wanted to read your book.
But Frypan knew that it was your day off and wouldnât have asked if he didnât really need help.
The two of you walked side by side in a comfortable silence for a moment before he broke it, âThanks for helping me, n/n. I know itâs your day off, but I really appreciate it.â
âOf course.â You answered honestly.
Turned out, one of his chefs was out in the Medjacks hut for the day because he dropped a knife on his foot while trying to make breakfast earlier that day.
It also turned out that he needed help for more than a few minutes, actually an hour, but you didnât once complain.
You helped with whatever he needed, cutting, cooking, baking, or cleaning.
When he finally said that you could leave, you walked back to the Homestead and grabbed your book.
By now shade had covered your spot, so you set off to look for a new reading spot.
You found the perfect place and began climbing.
It was a tree that wasnât too far off the ground, but just enough for some privacy, and the branch was big enough that you could lay down without worrying about it if you wanted to.
You got cozy in the tree, and were just resting your back against the bark when your name was yet again called.
âWhat the bloody hell are you doing up there, Y/n?â A familiar british voice called from down below you.
You closed your eyes and turned your face up, taking a deep breath before putting on a smile and looking down at Newt who had a worried look on his face.
âJust sitting up here.â You replied, hoping to get this conversation over as fast as you could.
As much as you loved Newt, you just wanted to read at the moment.
âWeâll get down from there, you shank.â His worried look didnât leave, âYou could hurt yourself.â
You sighed, âIâm fine, Newt.â
You leaned back against the tree and began opening your book again when his stern voice called out to you, âY/n, get down here right now.â
It was no longer his warm, playful tone that he normally used with you, it was the tone of a second in command that wanted to get something done.
Letting out a huff of annoyance, you swung your legs over the edge and jumped down, practically giving Newt a heart attack as he quickly sprang forward to try and break your fall.
Once you landed on two feet though, he let out a breath of relief, âPlease, love, just donât go back up there.â
With that he walked back to the gardens, leaving you more annoyed than when you had begun.
As much as you wanted to disobey Newt and climb right back up into the tree, you didnât want to risk him interrupting you again.
Your sights finally set to one of the openings in the walls, but more importantly, the wall right next to the opening.
Nobody was working around that area, so hopefully you would finally be left alone.
You walked like you were on a mission, not even slowing down to smile and wave at all of the gladers like you normally do.
You were almost there, about five yards away when you were stopped by what seemed like the hundredth person calling your name today.
You turned with a forced smile to Alby who was giving the new greenie the tour early, today instead of tomorrow.
The new greenie looked at you with wide eyes, only seeing you once before, when he came up from the box, but not having been in the right place to ask questions at the time, he hadnât known who you were.
Your smile softened, you remembered what it was like to be a greenie, to be scared, not remembering your name and feeling like you were alone.
âHey there, greenie. Iâm Y/n.â You said in the same kind voice that you used for all of the greenies on their first day, to let them know that they were not in fact alone.
âH-hi.â He stampeded out, face turning red as he avoided looking at you.
Alby clucked his tounge, âNow that youâve met the only girl in the glade, some rules,â he clapped the new boy on the shoulder with a friendly face but a tone that was actually opposite of it, âShe is like a sister to each and every one of us here in the glade, so if you even think-â
You cut the leader off, âLeave the boy alone, Alby.â You rolled your eyes, offering the new greenie another kind smile.
He rolled his eyes and held his hands up in surrender, âIâm just saying-â
âWell donât just say.â You said in a duh tone, grinning when the new greenie giggled a little. âNow if youâll excuse me.â You gave a final playful wink to the greenie, ignoring Albyâs warning look before turning and going back to sit in your spot.
You did feel a little bad though, as you heard Alby lead the new boy off while lecturing him about the rules you didnât let him say before.
But right then you had priorities, your book.
By then the sun had begun to set, meaning within the next hour or so, the doors would close for the night, and then soon after that the annual greenie day bonfire would begin.
With a sigh, you yet again sat down and opened your book, preparing to hopefully get at least the first sentence done by now.
You were so close, five words in, and then you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist, and then quickly pick you up and spin you around.
You let out a squeal of surprise, tensing your body up, and whipped your head around to try and get a look at who was spinning you around like a merry go round.
Minho.
He must have just gotten back from his run when he saw you sitting at the edge and decided to scare you.
You start hitting his arm, not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough to get the message across, âPut me down, Shuck-face!â
Minho let out a laugh and carefully set you down, then proceeded to place his hands on his hips as you turned to him with a glare.
âWhat was that for?â You demanded.
He just grinned and reached over to ruffle your hair, âYouâre just too easy to scare sometimes.â
He then walked away, holding his stomach while laughing loudly, ignoring your yells at him from behind where he left you.
You let out a huff, crossing your arms and mumbling incoherent curses to yourself, all surrounding the dark haired runner, who you had to admit was one of your best friends.
You were just about to sit back down with your book when Thomas, who had taken the day off from running, ironically came running over to you.
âWeâre starting the greenie bonfire!â
All you wanted to do was scream, you donât care about some shucking bonfire, you just want to read your book in peace.
Begrudgingly though, as the doors began to close for the night, you picked up your book and stomped after the boy, who looked slightly scared for his life at the murderous expression you wore on your face.
By the time you reached the area, the boys had already begun to light the fire with some whoops and cheers.
Thomas hastily left your side and ran over to Newt, who stood with Alby and Minho, and began whispering something to them.
You were too busy to notice them all looking at you though, as you stomped over to Gally and snatched a jar of his special drink, before he could yell at you though, you continued to stomp until you got to a spot away from the others, but still slightly near the bonfire.
The whole glade seemed to notice you sulking, because you normally were in the center of all of the action, having fun with your friends that you considered your family.
Your back was facing the crowd of gladers so you didnât notice Minho sternly talking to the new greenie before giving him a push towards you.
Newt and Alby could then be seen scolding the runner, but didnât do anything to stop the poor greenie sacrifice.
Your head snapped up as you sensed a presence slowly and hesitantly sitting down next to you.
You glared slightly at the greenie as he nervously shifted under your gaze, âWhat do you want, greenie?â You took another swig of your drink.
âI-I-ermâŚâ this time you noticed as he glanced over to your friends, who stood staring that the two of you intently, but as soon as they noticed you looking, they looked away.
You sighed, softening up a bit once you realized that it wasnât him you were mad at.
You quickly glanced back at your friends before leaning in and whispering something to the new boy.
Even though they were across the fire, the small group of boys leaned forward and strained to hear what you were telling him with no avail.
You pulled away from the boy with raised eyebrows and he quickly nodded before scrambling up and scurrying over to Thomas, Minho, Alby, and Newt.
Your back was still facing them so they had no indication on what you were thinking.
âWell?â Minho demanded, âWhat did she say, greenie?â
âShe-she, ummâŚâ the boy stammered, not meeting anyoneâs eyes.
Alby huffed, âSpit it out, boy.â
âShe said that if you⌠shuck-faces have something to say to her then go over and say it yourselves you⌠pieces of klunk.â
He quickly went away after that, scared that he angered the other kids on his first day.
They, however, just stood there in shock. They didnât know what got you in a bad mood, but it had to be bad if you told the greenie to deliver that message to them.
Slowly, they each extanged a weary glance before cautiously walking over to your hunched over figure.
Newt got there first and gently put his hand on your shoulder, âN/n?â
By now, Chuck and Frypan had sensed that something was wrong and came over to stand with their friends.
You harshly shrugged the blonds hand off, not even turning to look around as you gulped down another sip of the mysterious drink.
âHey,â Minhoâs voice was surprisingly soft, âWhatâs wrong?â
At this, you finally turned around, a hard glare on your face, âWhatâs wrong?â You asked in outrage, âWhatâs wrong?â By then heads had turned to your group and the voice quieted, âI donât know, why donât you shuck-faces tell me!â
Everybody in the glades eyes widened.
You were always calm, collected, and constantly cracking jokes to help lighten the mood.
Minho turned and accusedly glared at Thomas, âWhat did you do?â
âMe?â Thomas asked, glaring back, âIâve barely seen her all day!â
âOh yes, and me being in the maze gives me a perfect opportunity to talk to her all the time!â
âBoth of you, slim it!â Frypan finally snapped, making his presence known. His voice then softened along with his face, âAre you okay, n/n?â
You looked right at him and let out a laugh, it was void of all humor before shaking your head, âThis is so stupid.â You put your head in your hands after dropping the now empty jar onto the grass next to you, âIâm so stupid.â
Newt quickly sits next to you on the ground, Chuck quickly following his actions and sitting on the other side, âHey, hey, hey.â His British accent coming out thick, âYouâre not stupid. If itâs enough to make you upset, then itâs not at all stupid.â
You sniffled, looking up at him.
âNewts right,â Chuck piped up, âbut if you tell us what it is, we can help you.â
âOr you donât have to tell us at all.â Fry insisted, letting you know that you only have to tell them what youâre comfortable with them knowing.
You managed to smile up at him a little, âItâs justâŚâ you trailed off, looking around, you saw everybody wearing small smiles, but you also saw the rest of the gladers trying to listen in.
Alby noticed too, because he turned around to the group and loudly announced, âOkay, back to what you were doing and mind your own shucking businesses.â
They all quickly turned around and started doing something to keep themselves busy.
âIâŚâ you looked down, playing with a blade of grass, âIâve been trying to read my book all day⌠but things kept coming up with all of you.â
Noticing the guilty looks that quickly took over their faces, you rushed your next words, âAnd thatâs not your fault of course⌠it was just my day off and I donât know the next time that I would get to try and read it again.â
They all looked at each other and all nodded, coming to a silent agreement.
âHey,â Thomas called to you softly, crouching in front of you, causing you to slowly lift your eyes to meet his, âHow about this? Because itâs our faults, you take tomorrow off to read your book with absolutely no interruptions.â
You looked at him with wide eyes, âBut what if someone needs something?â
âThen they can go to anybody else.â Minho said then rolled his eyes, âItâs about time these shanks learned to solve their own problems anyway.â
You broke out into a wide grin, âThank you,â you looked around at each and every one of them, âAll of you.â
Soon after that, you all got back to your normal greenie day festivities as if nothing happened.
And true to their word, you got the whole day off the next day and nobody once interrupted you.
Mainly due to the fact that Alby warned them all that he would personally throw them off the cliff if they tired, but Chuck thought it was from him âchasing them all offâ, Alby just let the kid have his fun thinking that.

I heard that there's another girl in the glade. I was furious, I'm supposed to be the only girl to be around the boys. I saw her walking around with alby newt and gally, i felt jealous because gally never comes and talks to me, he always ignores me or walks away when i'm trying to talk to him, and there he is talking to the new girl. Ugh she better not go near thomas.
I saw treasa being her usual moody self, i guess she saw me talking to the new greenie.I don't care though, i don't like terasa and every time she tries to talk to me i always ignore or walk away from because she thinks that she can get away with everything because she a girl, but she has to follow the same rules as us. THe greenie seems pretty alright, she is sarcastic but not as much as minho ( not yet anyway )
I heard from Ben that there's a new girl in the glade. I was shocked because we thought that Terasa was the only girl I would ever get but nope, we got another girl. She's nice and I really like her, unlike terasa. She was talking to me. I think that she's really cool. Terasa ignored me when she came up in the box. I told her that my name is Chuck and that I hoped to be friends but she ignored me and walked away. She made Thomas spend less time with me so I felt lonely until the new girl came up.
I was talking to Newt before something hit me really fast. â I REMEMBERED MY NAME âI said while smiling, newt smiled and asked what it was â (name)â i saw that he looked at me with soft eyes but i thought nothing of it. As we were walking around I saw the other girl, Terasa. I think her name was staring at me. I'm pretty sure it was glaring but I didn't care, she needs to suck it up. As i was talking with newt he told me that they were going to have a bonfire tonight and i was really excited to see what we were going to do but what i didnât realize was that a glaring terasa was stomping towards me.
I saw Terasa come up to us while me and The greenie were talking, she looked pissed but Thomas can deal with her. âWhat are you doing talking to him?!â terasa said to (name) â leave her alone terasaâ. âThinking you own the place now because you got the boy's attention?! I will always be the number 1 girl here!â terasa said while inching closer to (name) â THOMAS! GET YOUR GIRLFRIEND NOW BEFORE I THROW HER IN THE PITâ
Thomas came and took a mad terasa away. I saw (names) face She had a tear coming down her cheek â its okay greenieâ i said while hugging her.
âWHAT HAPPENED?!â gally came into me and thomas hut âwhat do you mean gally?â i said while looking at him â WHY IS THE GREENIE CRYINGâ he said yelling at me â i was helping newt out with her.â i said â you said that you would always be number 1â â because i will! â I yelled at him â Thomas, sort out your girlfriend! Otherwise newt or alby will throw her into the pit. â don't you think that's a bit mean gally?â my boyfriend said to gally â if she lays a hand on the greenie, she's in the pit for 2 days no foodâ gally said while walking out our hut.Â

You were the only girl in the glade. This could be a blessing and a curse simply because of the attention that it got you in the glade, not that you couldnât hold your own. You were generally a med-jack or a runner but given the fact that you had sprained your ankle the week before you were unable to run so you had been assigned to help the Track-hoes. You couldnât complain too much though as it gave you more time to spend with a certain glader. If only you could talk to him with out stuttering or making a complete idiot out of yourself. Last time you had been so absorbed in talking to him that you had walked into a bloody pole.
But today was different, you had a good feeling about it.
You had woken early due to the immense temperature and immediately decided to head out to the field, no sense in delaying the inevitable. You were not the only one struggling with the heat though it would seem as you see gladers fanning themselves as you traipse along to the field where it is clear that no one else has arrived yet. You tie your hair back in a tight ponytail, grab a trowel and dig in.
It canât have been more than fifteen minutes before the others slowly approach. You try to appear focused on your task but your eyes keep straying to see if the Brit has arrived yet. You begin to lose hope when you hear a deep chuckle behind you. Slowly turning around your eyes meet hazel brown eye and you smile, a light blush creeping onto your cheeks.
âUp early love?â he asks a smirk on his lips.
âI-I-I no, not really.ââ You rub the back of your neck and scuff your shoe on the floor lightly.
He gives you a pat on the shoulder and heads over to the tool pile.
A few hours go by without incident, Newt had moved closer to you claiming that your area could use a little extra work. You doubted it, you never did any job by half. But as the day wore on it grew hotter and hotter. Your brow began to bead with sweat, some people even had to tap out in favour of sitting in the shade. In the end it was just you and Newt left.
Thatâs when it happened.
âItâs getting a bit hot out here isnât it (Y/N)?â he asked beginning to toy with the buttons on his shirt.
âW-What are you doing?â
âWhat does it look like?â he asks a slight tease in his tone. It takes a ton of self restraint to look away. You turn back to find Newt smirking at you, a dark blush overtaking your normally cool skin.
âNewt, I-I, why.â your eyes are glued to his arms, which flex as he raises his shovel. âI, um.â
âSomething wrong, (Y/N)?â He asks innocently, or at least as innocently as he can from beneath his smirk.
âYou know exactly what.â You grit out, rolling your eyes.
He leans over and places a light peck to your forehead drawing you closer to him.
âDoesnât mean I canât enjoy it when you get a little flustered.â he chuckles.
âYeah, yeah, I love you, ya shank.â you mutter.
Look! Itâs my first Scorch trials imagine. Iâm really happy with it and I hope you guys are too.Â
You had just escaped the maze with a bunch of other gladers and now you are going through what they call the scorch trials. You had your sheet wrapped around you, as you guys tried to reach a town that was in the distance. You estimated one more night at the most. It was extremely hot and without your sheet, youâd surely fade away into nothingness. You walked alongside Thomas and Minho. Thomas, Minho, and Newt had become your best friends the moment you showed up in the glade. You helped them make the decisions, which eventually lead you guys here.
The sky quickly turned grey and the wind was beginning to blow, which was odd due to it
Being in the middle of the day. You, along with all the other gladers put away the sheets and continued walking. Although, you couldnât remember why, you started to feel nervous about something. Almost like something about this wasnât right and you wanted to hide and take cover. You would have mentioned it to the guys, but it seemed pointless to suggest something impossible like taking cover. Â
In the distance, you saw a long line of light hit the ground, which turned to a black crater. You couldnât hold back a small gasp along with everyone else. You and Thomas exchanged concerned looks, then both ordered for everyone to start running towards the town. There was a loud crackling sound followed by the light hitting the ground. You heard someone scream, but couldnât see who. Thomas stumbled to the ground and tried to regain balance. You ran over and grabbed the back of his shirt and helped pull him to his feet.
Everyone was running towards the town when a large burst of lightning hit the ground in
front of you. Â You screamed and fell into the crater. The dirt itself seemed to burn like fire. You screamed, but it was barely audible against the sounds of the storm. Your skin started to burn more and more with each passing second. Somehow stumbling up and onto your feet, you turned and noticed that this crater was larger than the other ones youâve seen. You could feel the heat slowly seeping through the soles of your shoes.
You ran to the edge and tried to pull yourself up, but as you did you grabbed onto a larger rock. You yanked your hand away while cursing slightly. You looked at your hand and even in the weird lighting, you could see the red bubbling of a burn. You opened your bag and ripped a large section of the sheet off and wrapped it around your hand. It gave you a little bit of coverage, which was enough to get you out of the crater. You pulled yourself over the edge and rolled onto your back. Without wasting another second you jumped to your feet and continued heading towards the town.
You could see the others a while away from you. You tried to yell and get their attention, but once again your voice was drowned out by the sound of the storm. You pushed through the storm, as sand and rocks pelted your skin. Some making their way into your skin. You still managed to push through the storm. A cloud of dirt blocked your vision from the other gladers. The dirt coated your entire body. The water from your eyes started to form a red paste to your skin. There was a break in the cloud of dirt and you were able to see the town. You were really close to it now if you were to run you could make it there quickly, but the only problem was is that you could no longer see the other gladers.
Fear rushed over you. You could only think of the terrible things that might have happened to them. You sprinted for the town, as it started to rain. There was another lightning strike only a few yards from you, which caused you to run faster.
You finally reached the town and noticed a car sitting right outside of the town next to a building. You ran over and slid into one of the seats. The moment you came in contact with the sheets you realized how tired and exhausted you really were. You wrapped yourself in your sheet and fell asleep using your bag as a pillow.

The next morning, as light was shining through Thomas, started counting heads. He noticed there were people gone, which he fully expected. What he didnât expect, or at least hoped more than anything that it wasnât true, is that you were gone. You started quickly walking around the room searching every single face for yours. Undoubtedly you were gone.
âWhat the shuck are you doing?â Newt asked standing up.
âY/N is gone. They didnât make it.â Thomas blurted out.
Minho who was barely conscious made a quiet moaning sound.
âWait, they didnât make it?â Newt asked trying not to believe it.
-------------------
You woke up to the heat building up in the car. The car made the heat a 100X worse than it was already. You sighed and sat up. Every part of your body ached. You wrapped yourself up in the sheet and slipped out of the car. You were walking through the town when you heard a lot of commotion coming from inside one of the buildings. You knew those voices anywhere.
---------------
âThey were with us yesterday, but this morning when we did a head count they werenât there,â Thomas explained to Jorge.
âThere dead. Out there by themselves last night.â Jorge shook his head, âpractically impossible.â
âNot Y/N. You donât know them. Theyâre strong and we need to find them. So we can all be together. No way theyâre dead.â Thomas said shaking his head.
âDefinitely not.â Newt agreed.
âI told you there is no way they are still alive,â Jorge explained. Thatâs when Thomas turned to see someone enter the room.
-----------------
You quickly walked towards the broken old building and walked inside. The moment you walked in all eyes were on you.
âI told you they werenât dead,â Thomas said to some guy before he and Newt both ran over and pulled you into a hug. You have never been so happy to see those two shuck faces in your life. You smiled.
âWhat didnât think Iâd make it?â You asked smiling. You pulled the sheet off and saw Thomas and Newtâs face drop. âWhat?â You asked looking down. You noticed that your arms were covered in burns along with holes burned through parts of your clothes. Which is why you ached so badly. âIâm fine.â
âWhat happened?â Newt asked.
âThere was a lightning strike near me yesterday and I fell into the large crater and burned myself multiple times, but Iâm here and alive now so thatâs all that matters.
Imagine being âbest friendsâ with Minho and Thomas. (TMR)
It was terrifying, waking up in the glade was quite literally waking up to nothing but a head splitting, brain twisting headache. It was basically hell for the first 24 hours as you can probably imagine; new people, a new environment and new surroundings but the scariest thing by far was the painstakingly clear fact that there were new people. All of which were male. Now hear me out, being male isnât a bad thing and I donât hate them (most of the time any way) so calling me sexist would be unfair but living with a overwhelmingly enormous amount of (mostly) strong, bulky men can be terrifying for a women. So as you can imagine (Y/N) almost pissed herself (unbeknownst to the men). But her dreadfully brutal thoughts were soon eased as she met two of the runners Minho and Thomas. The three of you soon became the best of friends and you became a runner despite their concerns about your safety. They loved you and quite frankly you loved them just as much and it showed, no glader dared to mess with you because theyâd have the two fastest runners on their butts and no one wants that⌠Well except the only female glader but it wasnât in the way youâd think.
