It’s been ages since I’ve made etouffe (AY-two-fay) so I’m happy it turned out very good. I only ate a little because it’s not really my favorite, but my son ate two big plates so I’d say it was a success. lol 🦞🍽

Making chicken and sausage gumbo this morning. And I’m cheating by using jarred roux, but it tastes just as good as homemade.

I made chili in my new crockpot. It was so good! After this photo, I mixed everything into one messy goop- the cornbread too.
Chili is easy to make and very filling. Most of the ingredients are also still available in stores with maybe the exception of the ground beef. I was lucky to find some the last time I went out. Our stores are out of most canned beans, but they still have chili beans and canned tomatoes. I already had the cheese and sour cream from before everything went crazy. They stay fresh longer than you’d think.
