I’m really glad you had a positive reaction to the ending because I absolutely did not ngl LOL!!! I had a raging stomachache thinking they were going to part after EVERYTHING. I had to dig up the novel and ask multiple people what the ending met before I was talked down from the ledge. There’s a fic I’ve been meaning to read that tells the stories of wwx’s adventures.

episode 9: jihyun still holding jaewon's hand, despite jaewon pushing off away at first

UGH like look at that!!! look at jaewon's hand!!!!! was he giving into jihyun's touch or was he resisting the urge to hold jihyun's hand and that small movement is all he was allowing of himself?? god

it's like in p&p when mr. darcy flexed his hand after helping elizabeth into her carriage but better

2. episode 3: the kiss

it was a bold of jaewon and it was brave of jihyun. when jihyun leans into jaewon's kiss? when he opens his mouth (this is more apparent in the mv on their youtube channel)?? THE YEARNING!!!!!!!!

3. episode 2: the wetsuit fitting

um that exhale jaewon does when he turns jihyun around? those furitive glances? the lingering touch across the base of jaewon's neck when jihyun zips him up? jaewon's absolute mastermind of a plan to wear the wetsuit that zips up in the back instead of the front??????? IT'S SO--- i feel like anyone who has ever crush had a crush on anyone (especially for those of us who are queer) can relate to these moments. these moments you create for yourself to get closer to the person you like but at the same time, you know it can't be more than this. so you'll greedily and secretly slot these moments that may or may not be more than they seem within yourself and hope it's enough

4. episode 5: the whole dinner/bar scene and afterwards + "are you angry, jaewon?"

it was so satisfying to see jaewon angry, even if it was only for a second. it also hurt so bad because jaewon was hurting so bad

but jihyun and aeri were there to defend the high walled castle that is jaewon and boot taehyung's ass to the curb with extra road rash.

5. episode 7: "for me, the last memory before i woke up in the hospital, was the happiest moment of my life."

can you believe this PURE angel?????? i think this scene really encapusulates jihyun's immoveable belief in love, in his feelings, and in jaewon. i could also list the earlier scene when he was talking to joonpyo about how he can see it in jaewon's eyes that he didn't mean what he said.

he is a romantic!!! he is so young and untouched by trauma even right after his accident. jaewon says it like it's both a good and bad thing and i agree. however, i do think if we are playing trauma olympics, jihyun can say he has experience with it but it's the way he marches on that is so admirable. like this dude almost drowned when he was a kid and still went surfing because he wanted to try new things and be closer to jaewon.

now i don't know if i'm right and i'm open to other interpretations, but i think when jaewon saw that jihyun saw eunji kiss him is what really catalyzed the beginnings of jaewon finally thinking it was okay to go to jihyun

jaewon said this to his therapist about why he was avoiding jihyun:

so jaewon doesn't want to hurt jihyun. doesn't want to confuse him.

but when eunji kissed him and jaewon saw jihyun, it was clear jihyun was hurt

so, even though jaewon tried to avoid him, tried to push jihyun away, jihyun still ended up getting hurt.
