Kaz.

Old mate’s name is Kaz, short for Kazza, short for མི་རིགས་ནམ་མཁའ་ཟ་, or: Humanity the Universe Eater.

Showing my working out: This is Amy art, not just Gizz art, but old mate has shown up on rave posters in San Francisco and Manchester and Berlin, so old mate resides deep in beepy Gizzverse territory. The Silver Cord is the glowing thread at the heart of beepy Gizz, and the higher divine there is undoubtedly the Tibetan Book of the Dead Bardo Thodol.

Amy has said old mate is a hellmouth, an entrance to hell, but that swirling within a wide open mouth sure doesn’t feel like a simple passive doorway. Cross that with the Gizzverse, and our hellmouth is Han-Tyumi – the culmination of humanity – consuming the universe into vomit. Cross those both with the Bardo Thodol, and we have old mate as captured by Amy: humanity, the universe eater, the personified and deified face of humanity consuming the entirety of existence into the hell realms.

So, that’s why old mate’s name is Humanity the Universe Eater. མི་རིགས་ནམ་མཁའ་ཟ་. Mi Rigs Nam Mkha’ Za. Pronounced ‘mee rik nahm kha zah’.

…but us Aussies can’t help but abbreviate an old mate’s name, so first we get to Kazza, and then we get to Kaz. And here we are!

Or if that’s all a little too unhinged: Kaz is a cute fun name.
