I just finished Killer Frequency this morning and honestly I really enjoyed it.
The game is basically you are a late night radio dj roped into being the small town of gallows Creek's 911 operator for the night as a killer dressed as a town legend stalks and attempts to kill various citizens. The advice and choices you make will decide if the citizen survives or dies in their encounter with the killer.
Positives:
It's best quality is definitely the wide quirky cast of characters. My personal faves being roller Ricky and his pooch max
The dynamic and relationship between the player character Forest Nash and his producer Peggy
Easter eggs and references everywhere. Even the achievement names got a few laughs out of me
Great game for achievement hunters.
Can be beaten in about four to six hours
And of course wouldn't be a game about being a radio dj without great tunes
Negatives:
Some calls are clearly more rushed and less thought out than others
The killer reveal and motive feels semi rushed in the back half of the game
Controls can be very sensitive when trying to precisely select a item. Like when choosing a record to play
The collectables seem pointless. Especially when you get most of them via the main story anyway
Though it's technically a horror game don't expect a very scary experience
Overall I'd highly recommend this game. Perfect for those who want a unique but interesting gaming experience. Great for achievement hunters who want a painless platinum.
Those who disliked dialogue heavy game and want action heavy gameplay probably won't enjoy it as much.
If you guys played it I'd love to hear what you thought of it.
