Carrying Ace was the hardest 9 months of Mitsume’s life, up until the day she was forced to leave him. It was hiding her stomach in any way she could manage and unfamiliar things like illness and aching. It was hiding that part, too.

Thankfully, Giroli was a kind and reasonable man and didn’t comment on it as long as she did her job, and he did his. Mitsume always enjoyed the games, he always chose players with the most to win from a little battle prestige.

And thankfully, playing around with the clothes of the time wasn’t wrong either, apparently it spiced up the season, according to the audience.

And yet, hiding was hard. Pretending she was unchanged with a warm power that had been born inside her, born next to her beloved son… was hard. She was unnatural in her skin and changed.
