I'm sorry - and again, not so much - but Spamano is literally PERFECT for me and I could write essays (I do, if fics count as essays), it's been 1000 years and I still go back to them. And yeah, man, they have no idea what they're doing because they're both oblivious idiots and they're practically married without even knowing it. I love them so much, Your Honor. They'll always have a special place in my heart.

Let me get banned. Guys, guys. These two have issues, allright? Both of them. Emotionally constipated Germany and fearful of commitment, flirtatious Vene? God. Freud would have a field day overanalyzing them. So would I. I could write essays. I know for a fact they're friends with benefits. Fanon gets them wrong. They are not two pure cinnamon rolls, too pure for this world and all that jazz. There's a love-hate relationship, people wouldn't get it.🤡🚬 They don't either. Look at all those stars. Maybe they won't work in canon. They're both too laidback, too culturally different. Greece looks at Veneziano and goes ???? I don't get this guy. He understands Romano much better, and yet he's kinda more fascinating because he's different. He's sure irritating. Veneziano finds Greece hot, he has a thing for his body, but he doesn't get what's going on in his head and that's a turn off. Or is it? Maybe they work, though, for those very same reasons. You can see them there taking naps and petting cats. Is it platonic? A little bit. If you go back in time to Venetian rule in Greece, there's nothing platonic about their relationship. Neither of them is a baby, they've seen things, and they fight. Oh, boy. Do they fight. The hatred. The power plays. The sexual tension. It's complicated. They don't get along, they like each other, they're divorced without even getting married.
