Chapter 4: Possession

8. What was their first date like?

Their first date that wasn't a cooperative assassination/mission (or a mutually agreed on kidnapping scenario) was an attempt to do things like a normal couple; they found an unfamiliar restaurant and went out for dinner. After mutually fumbling all over themselves through about half the meal, they paused, looked at each other, laughed and said "Why are we trying to do this like regular people do?" They went outside, found a dark alley, smacked and tussled each other around a bit, and were much happier for just admitting they were freaks and couldn't do it the way 'regular' people did.

Their second date was a late night coffee to cool down in the early hours AFTER they had had a scuffle and tussle, and they arrived bruised and grinning from ear to ear, very happy.

9. What are their love languages?

Risotto: Quality time. He feels best when he's the center of his partner's attention - knows that they are engaged and focused fully on him and are cooperating with him, whether to fight, fuck, or whatnot. Risotto pleases Giorno with things like baking a fresh basket of cookies for Don Sweettooth Giovanna, or calmly bringing him back the spoils (flesh, treasure, information) of an assigned kill.

Giorno: Acts of service. He likes to know that he can rely on people; that they're there to do as he asks without question; that they care about him enough to NOTICE when he's sick, tired, or just in need of a break. For quality time with Risotto, he takes off the Don hat and puts his phone on silent; he reads Risotto's face closely (and is read, in turn) and pays attention to his verbal and physical cues. They have an almost uncanny ability to detect each other's intent through the smallest of gestures.

13. What interests/hobbies would they try and get the other into? Would they succeed or not?

Risotto wants Giorno to start working out and to eat better. Giorno's underweight in his opinion, and needs more training since he relies too much on Gold Experience when they tussle, and is easily overpowered by physical force. He's had… moderate success with this, but honestly Bruno likes working out with Risotto more, so it's usually the two of them in the weight room at Site B. Risotto's settled for gently bullying Giorno into eating meals that he prepares, which is more healthy than the 'junk' Giorno seems to live on, and reminding Giorno (sometimes by force) that he can't just rely on his Stand all the time.

Giorno and Trish have successfully gotten Risotto to come over and watch Eurovision with them; as he warmed up to the rest of the group, movie nights have become a regular feature, with the group bouncing between various genres; Risotto and Giorno like to watch horror movies together but are also super critical of the effects and kills, which causes the others to yell at them sometimes. To be fair Mista is also hypercritical of gun sequences and Trish can get going on the clothing and fashion details of people's outfits. Movie nights can get quite boisterous at Bucciarati's villa!

21. Would they get into fights? What over, and how do they move forward?

Oh boy CAN they. Because Giorno is 99% forward-looking, and Risotto is 99% backward-looking, they can get into actual fights (not play fights or fuck fights) at time about either tactics or Risotto blatantly calling out Giorno for making what he considers inadequate, dangerous or poorly thought out decisions affecting Passione at large. At times, Giorno has to endure BOTH Abbacchio and Risotto teaming up on this to really read him the riot act.

When they truly can't see eye to eye, they have to physically seperate themselves for a while, Risotto being the more common one to disappear first and then reappear after he's had time to cool off or vent his frustrations. Giorno can also get withdrawn and moody during these instances, and will turn to one of the others to help him work through his irritation. At the end of the day Risotto always keeps everyone, even Giorno, at a slight reserve, a trauma response as well as a subconscious fear of getting close and then losing everyone yet again. So he's always the first to hide.
