sage x gio ( @secondhnd) | outside afterlife antiques | late afternoon
Ducking toward a trashcan on the side of the street, Sage threw the final sips of their smoothie away and habitually wiped their hand against their jeans. They weren't paying the most attention to their surroundings, considering the display window of the antique store had caught their eyes. Bright green eyes locked on the typewriter sitting atop an opened cover desk, Sage was in total awe of the setup. If they could have their way, their apartment would look exactly the same as this display -- neatly packed with knickknacks and essentials. Heavy on the emphasis of packed with knickknacks, they let their eyes flutter around the window display, gasping as they noted a first-edition copy of Whitman poems just strewn across the scene before them.
"Oh my god. I have to have that. Shit. I need that, actually" Turning around without any hesitation, she originally planned to head into the antique store -- however, with a human two inches from their face, their attention turned its focus. "Ah." Was all that escaped their mouth for just a moment as they took a rebuked step back. Their face, being the tell-tale of their emotions, dropped only slightly seeing Gio. It wasn't that she thought ill of him, but he just challenged them in a way they weren't used to, that they truly didn't know how to handle. "Fuck, I'm sorry. I wasn't really paying attention -- you good?" With a faint smile on their face, they looked up to the brunet and gave a small wave.
