RÅ«ha: the Queen of Darkness.
" RÅ«ha is the Arch-demoness, the Queen of Darkness. She is the daughter of âQinâ the Mistress of Darkness. She is the ruler of the third matarta (watch-house), and dwells in first underworld. RÅ«ha is the mother of the King of Darkness, 'Ur, and the mother of the Seven planets, the Twelve Signs of the Zodiac and the Five planets. She is considered as a kind of "fallen wisdom figureâ ressembling Sophia in other Gnostic traditions. She fights and suffers and appears in several realms at the same time. RÅ«ha is the leader of the underworld forces and the âentity incorporation powers of darkness which the lightworld had to conquer.â
In Book VI of the Ginza Rba (the book of âDinanukt") RÅ«ha describes herself as âlight and darknessâ, âerror and truth â, âdestruction and structureâ etc., in clear dualist terms. "
