A Gintama episode a day keeps the ending away...Episode 67
It’s another two chapters in one episode deal, but I kinda think it was slightly disrespectful to Sacchan for putting the Noriko chapter right in front of hers...sure, that’s the order of the chapters in the manga, but they could have easily switched stuff around out of respect.
MY 8 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN EPISODE 67 (manga chaps 87 and 88):
1) Zenzou just looked so damn good for some reason. That’s definitely the first time I thought he was sexy.
2) Poor Hasegawa...it was such a sweet gesture for their 10th year anniversary, but Noriko screwed it up by being just a crappy delivery person (I really didn’t like her character...in the manga or the anime).
3) I just love it when Okita has a cameo in an episode.
4) Loved Sacchan’s phone...that modified Sharingan was not in the manga so that was a nice touch by the anime team. I’m sure she could have gotten a better picture of Gin-chan, but it’s rather endearing that she loves him no matter what gross thing he’s doing.
5) That’s me whenever Gintoki....
6) The doc’s meta diagnosis.
7) Sacchan looked cute and sexy at the same time in that moment.
8) I was so proud of her...she did so well even though she was mostly blind.
SHIPS TALLY:
Gintoki x Sacchan: I’m kinda surprised Gintoki was able to resist her sexy nurse charms.
Zenzou x Sacchan: I mean, they’re pretty much canon just from that, right?
Gintoki x Zenzou: well, Shinpachi, Kagura, Otose, Hasegawa, and Catherine believes they’re canon.
Gintoki x Noriko: apologies to Saito-san of Tokyo, who created Noriko, but she was kinda annoying so I’m glad this was a one and done deal and we never saw her again.
Hasegawa x Hatsu: he made an A+ effort, he just commissioned the wrong delivery service.
Gintoki x Okita: because Sougo was genuinely concerned for Gin-chan’s safety.
Gintoki x Kagura: why was she so pissed off about seeing Gintoki and Zenzou engaging in candle-play?
Zenzou x Needle: canon.
Zenzou x Oden: canon.
Zenzou x Candle: canon...probably married by now.
Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just completely unbelievably amazing. It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s immense generosity that I am able enjoy Gintama on an extra another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
