did you knot your pearls when you made the blood drip necklace?
I didn’t. They’re fake pearls (I couldn’t quite bring myself to use real ones for this project) and the string is a nylon coated steel cable, so it doesn’t knot well. On the other hand, the nylon coating is pretty grippy, so the fishing line that the red beads are on holds on to it well.
But honestly this was a complete impulse project, made out of whatever materials I had available, so if I was doing it again I might do some things differently. I wouldn’t knot the string--who cares if fake pearls chafe on each other--but there’s some things I could do to make the project easier and make the whole thing lay a little neater.
