These soft and spicy ginger cookies have warm, comforting flavors. These cookies, flavored with ginger, cinnamon, and cloves, are ideal for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup molasses. 1 egg. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 2 teaspoons ground ginger. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 2 teaspoons baking soda. 1/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling.
Instructions: Put the softened butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy. Mix the molasses and egg into the butter mixture by beating it in well. Mix the flour, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing only until everything is well combined. Put the dough in the fridge for at least an hour with plastic wrap over it. Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them with the last 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Place the dough balls covered in sugar on the baking sheets that have been prepared, leaving space between them so that they can spread. After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the middle is still a little soft. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. After they've cooled, eat these soft, spicy, sweet ginger cookies!
