3, 6, and 15 for the self-insert! :D
Hmmmmm I’m really torn on who to do these ones with, but since I already talked about my EO insert in a different ask, I think I’ll talk about my FE3H insert here! I think she fits this set of questions rather nicely :>
3.) Who in their canon are they closest to? Who would they drop everything to come help, if anyone? Who’s the person they’re least close to? Who would they most likely not get along with, if anyone?
Jeanne is closest to three people, her older sister Sybil (and OC of mine), Linhardt, and Caspar. These are also the people who she would have no problems breaking a few laws to help if they needed her. Her father, however, she couldn’t care less about. Out of everyone she knows, she’s on the worst terms with him and would rather see him rot than help him.
6.) Do they fight? What’s their weapon of choice? Do they stay on the sidelines? What would it take for them to get off the sidelines? Revenge? Saving a loved one? What’s the motivation for them to fight, or to stay OUT of a fight?
Jeanne is an expert with black magic and specializes in fire magic! If she’s forced into melee combat, she knows her way around a sword as well. She prefers to attack from a distance, being the cover fire for her friends who fight on the frontlines. The only way to get her to go to the front lines is if someone she cares about (such as anyone in the Black Eagles) gets injured. She gets very angry, like borderline pissed, and will do anything and everything she can to make sure whoever got hurt can retreat safely.
15.) Does your insert have any enemies? What’s that dynamic like? Why are they enemies? Did they ever get along in the past? Is patching up differences out of the question for the future?
If she would consider anyone her enemy, it would be her father after the timeskip. While Duke Gerth is a very kind and caring man, problems within the family that are never shown to anyone on the outside ruined any relationship Jeanne had with him. The dynamic between the two is her father being an emotional manipulator under the guise of a caring father while Jeanne is a victim that slowly comes to the realization that she’s being manipulated (especially since he practically forced her to stay home and never let her leave until she one day has enough and fights her way out). In the past, the two had a very loving relationship and were close. However, after her mother and father had a falling out and after her older sister was disowned, Jeanne’s father did everything he possibly could to sway Jeanne into being on his side, even when he was the one in the wrong a majority of the time. The way things stand, Jeanne will never fully trust her father ever again, even if she feels like she could one day forgive him.
