it's so important to me for reincarnated oz to be born in a normal, everyday family that loves him unconditionally and for oz to introduce gil to them and gil just... bursts into tears. relieved that oz gets to be happy without burden in this life and oz's family thinks "what's up with this weirdo?"

My part for the @pandoraheartssecretsanta!
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, @filzmonster! I hope you have a lovely one! I may have gotten too many ideas when I saw I could have basically free reign for themes- I had to pull myself back and made something simple! I hope you like it! <3

Sorry for the weird ask, but do you think Gil's feelings for Oz were romantic in nature on some level?
It’s not weird, thank you for the ask!
And to answer your question…..no, actually! Did they have an extremely close relationship and friendship that hinted other, deeper feelings? Yes. Did Gil actually have those romantic kind of feelings for Oz? I don’t think so.Gil only ever thought about serving Oz in a way that a servant should protect a master- that was literally it. I think if they had grown up together the way they should have, without Oz disappearing for 10 years and coming back the same age, their relationship might have grown and transcended in some way. But all hell broke loose when Oz disappeared and when he came back so there was never an opportunity for that and by that point Gil was more obsessed with the idea of keeping his ‘master’ safe.
