What should I name him :0 Thoughts when drawing (keep reading)
It's kinda hard to post this. I know this is gonna sound stupid, but all my life, I have always wanted to draw cute little things like this guy. It's really flipping fun, but for some reason it has always felt kinda wrong. Like, everyone will make fun of me for it somehow. Because, dude, girls are 'allowed' to draw this type of thing all day, and nobody will think twice. But when a guy does? Idk, it means something is wrong with him lol. It's kinda scary exploring this cute character stuff, and especially posting it.
lol but for real, it's super interesting. Even after having success with BIP on YouTube, it still feels so strange to be into cute stuff like this. Seeing Zootopia when I was 12 was a big deal lol; it's a core memory. And even though I wouldn't consider myself (or my characters) "furries" or even "furry-adjacent" (still don't really know what "being a furry" actually means...) I feel as though all the 'animal-like characters' are just way too exciting for me. Like it's too fun, maybe. Even the way it's talked about online, it's like this 'forbidden' thing that is just too dang weird, and I guess I sorta understand that...
Judy always made me want to be a happier person. She's so awesome. Gib's original head shape was inspired by the shape of her eyes. I drew her all the time back then... And idk, it just always felt strange. I know it's weird, but I really love to draw this kind of stuff; it's just so magical the way these characters are, almost emotionally heightened versions of us. Anything with them in it is instantly more exciting than anything with only human characters. Like, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and the old Mickey Mouse cartoons, those guys were awesome. Is there a reason there was much less human-animated stuff like that back then? Idk, it's just been on my mind for a very long time now, and Idk, Tumblr feels like the best place to talk about this lol. What do u guys think :0
