Where: The Three Broomsticks Who: Autumn & @giarosmerta
Working with Gianna was stressful, to say the least. She was so good at her job, and it was such a simple job, but Autumn just couldn't get a grasp on it. Gia was so personable, making her rounds throughout the bar, stopping at each table, every person she walked away from had a smile on their face. Small talk, people skills, none of that came naturally to Autumn and it was frustrating that she just couldn't talk to people. She had been working at the Broomsticks for a few months now, watching Gianna, studying her. She could mimic the other woman, it couldn't be that hard to strike up a conversation with a stranger, right?
Walking up to the nearest customer at the counter, Autumn placed her elbow down, attempting to lean casually. It felt so wrong, so she stood up straight again, an obviously fake smile on her lips. "Hey." She said rather frantically, "Uh.. Enjoying your drink?" How did Gia do it without feeling so awkward? She told stories, maybe that would help. "Um... One time I punched a guy 'cause he was an ass." Clearly trying to connect with the customer didn't work when he shot her an uncomfortable glance. Quickly walking away, Autumn didn't even give the man a second look as she came around the counter and approached Gianna from behind. She tapped the woman on the shoulder and stared at her wide eyed for a moment before speaking, "Teach me how to talk to people?"
