How do designers choose who will open and close the show?
What I know, is that they hire a casting director. So, the casting director will make the casting and the designer will attend to the casting, the casting director is the professional at "choosing models" but at the end the designer has the last word. So, the designer just pick the model they want to open/close the show, usually at the fitting. That's what I know about it.
