Ghoulema is meant to be a workable Pop-Occulture practice, inspired by headcanon lore for the band Ghost, as developed by @sovaghoul and @marksoftheevilones. This lore can be found at @peacefield-ministry. This blog will contain rituals that can be performed irl, with heavy usage of Ghost lyrics as liturgy.

On This Night of Ritual
This rite is for the Aries (or Libra) Equinox, considered mid-Spring. An optional step before Ritual is to color hard-boiled eggs, including setting intentions with doing so. These can then be eaten during the Rite of Body and Blood.

This rite is to be performed when the Sun is at 15° Aquarius (or 15° Leo in the Southern Hemisphere), around the beginning of Spring.

A Year of Hymns
Idk if I'd make a good editor or a bad one but I keep doing it. Here's a slightly updated version of the Ghoulema ritual. It's ok if you don't notice any differences, this is mostly just a version with more lyrics as liturgy and clarified directions.
SETTING UP FOR RITUAL
Beneath the Altar should be a plate of food offerings and a bottle of dark liquid (wine, juice, etc.), along with the Priestex's personal Cup and an empty offering bowl.
The Altar should be set facing the Starting Direction, so that the Priestex (PX) will stand in the opposite direction. On it should be three candles; to the right, white or silver, to the left, black or red, and a green one in the center. PX's Ritual Blade should be placed in easy reach.
In each Direction should be a Sentry Post, made up of a color-coordinated candle (Yellow for Air/East, Red for Fire/South, Blue for Water/West, and Purple for Quint/North), and the Tool for that Direction/Element (Feather for Air, Candle for Fire, Bowl for Water, Incense for Quintessence). There should be room to walk around the Altar and stand at each Sentry Post.
RITUAL OPENING - ENTRANCE CHALLENGE
PX enters the space created by the Sentry Posts, and stands facing the Altar/Direction of the rite. They will take up their Blade and hold it pointed at their heart.
PX: BELOVED SENTRIES, I, [state name], SEEK YOUR BLESSING TO CONJURE THIS SPACE
PX presses the flat of the blade against their heart and takes a deep, cleansing breath before replacing the Blade on the Altar. PX then lights the Creator candles, beginning on the left, then the right, leaving green in the middle unlit for now.
If there are further participants, PX will issue a challenge. If not, skip to starred [**] speech below. Each participant should have their own Blade and Cup. Ideally, participants will stand in the Northwest, if possible. In any case they should be outside the boundary created by the Sentry Posts.
PX: BELOVED SENTRIES, I NOW TAKE UP YOUR DUTIES, AND PRESENT A CHALLENGE TO ALL WHO ENTER
PX will approach first participant and point their Blade at their heart.
PX: STATE YOUR NAME.
Participant states their name, bringing their own Blade to PX’s heart. They then each press the flat to each other’s chest and share a kiss or a forehead press, whichever is preferable. After this exchange, the participant enters. If there is more than one ritual leader, they may alternate presenting the challenge. This is repeated for each participant until all are within the space. PX moves to the Altar to place their Blade upon it. All others place theirs and their Cups on the ground.
PX: CHALLENGES MET, WELCOME AND HAIL!

PX stands before Altar.
PX: AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, RIGHT THERE WHERE IT TIPS AND CONNECTS WITH THE NIGHT SKY, REACH IT WITH ME.
IN THE GRAVE OF THE OCEAN, RIGHT THERE WHERE IT DIPS AND CONNECTS WITH THE FIRE, BURNING WITH ME.
THE ASHES OF MEMORIES BURIED, ARE BLOWING IN THE WIND.
DEVOUR WITH ME.
PX then proceeds to the Starting Direction for the rite. The script begins in the East for sake of ease, but should be adjusted for the occasion. PX shall bow to the Sentry Post and light the candle before speaking.

PX ignites the Incense, moves it to the Altar, and proceeds skywise or returns to the start, bowing again at the initial Sentry Post before returning to the Altar. They light the green candle now.

Now to Circle Casting.
RITUAL OPENING - CIRCLE CASTING
These directions apply to all Directions/Seasons. PX picks up the appropriate Tool from the Altar and walks to the Starting Direction. They proceed skywise around the space and draw the Circle, pausing to bow at each Sentry Post. PX will chant until a complete Circle is formed, including a second bow to the Starting Direction.
ALL: AS ABOVE, SO BELOW
AS WITHOUT, SO WITHIN
AS THE COSMOS, SO THE SELF
AND ALL THAT LIES BETWEEN
When this is complete, return to the Altar and face the Starting Direction. While still chanting, envision a sphere of energy radiating out from the green candle to the boundary formed by the Sentry Posts.
The chant will continue to be recited after the PX returns to the altar and replaces the tool, a minimum of 5 times total, to acknowledge all Directions and Elements.
When the Circle is cast, PX will speak the following Blessing.

PX lifts the Blade again and, starting at the bottom, draws an inverted pentagram before the Altar. They keep the Blade pointed down as they speak.
PX: HE WHO FELL TO DARKNESS YET SOUGHT THE LIGHT. HE, THE BLOOD IN OUR VEINS AND THE YEARNING OF OUR SOULS. PRINCE IN EXILE AND BEAST WITH MANY NAMES, RIGHTEOUS OUTCAST. THERION, GHOULFATHER, DIO SCURO, DIS PATER. WELCOME AND HAIL!
PX draws an upright pentagram, starting at the top, before the Altar. They keep the blade pointed up as they speak.
PX: SHE WHO SHINES ETERNAL YET SEES INTO THE SHADOWS. SHE, THE DESIRE IN OUR HEARTS AND THE BREATH IN OUR LUNGS. THE QUEEN ON HIGH AND SCARLET WOMAN, PROGENITRIX OF ABOMINATIONS. BABALON, GHOULMOTHER, ZOMBIE QUEEN, ALMA MATER. WELCOME AND HAIL!
Now to appropriate rite.
ANY RITUAL
If no other activity is planned, this ritual celebrating celestial cycles is appropriate. If a group, all will dance skywise. If alone, PX will travel skywise around the ritual space. If dancing/movement is not an option, participants/PX may simply sway, seated or standing. The following Chant shall be sung, or a recording played. Simple instruments may be included, or clapping or drumming on the ground or the body.

The dance continues until appropriate power is raised. Time to rest should be allowed, especially if dancing has occurred.
Now to the Body and Blood rite.
BODY AND BLOOD
A plate of food offerings and a bottle of dark liquid (wine, juice, etc.) should be placed on the Altar. One sample of food and a splash of liquid should be placed into an offering bowl with the following words:
PX: THEIR BODY AND BLOOD
SHARING IN COMMON
AS ABOVE, SO BELOW
EAT ME, DRINK ME, SEE THE LIGHT
If in a group, the plate and bottle will be passed around, and as they pass from one participant to the next, they shall say:
PARTICIPANTS: RECEIVE, CONSUME
If alone, PX will make this statement as they take their first bite and first sip, respectively.
A discussion of activities and experiences may follow.
Now to Closing.
CLOSING
When all agree it is time to close, they shall stand.
PX: WE HAVE SEEN THE CYCLES MOVE AND HAVE MOVED THEM WITH OUR POWER, AND NOW IT IS TIME TO END OUR RITES. WE THANK THE SENTRIES AND CREATORS FOR THEIR PRESENCE, AND THOUGH OUR ROADS MAY BE LONG, WE WILL FIND OUR WAY, THROUGH THE POWERS THAT BE. WE KNOW WE WILL NEVER WALK ALONE, WE CAN HEAR THEM SAYING, "I'M WITH YOU ALWAYS."
PX brings the Starting Direction Tool back to its Sentry Post, replacing it and bowing. If it is a candle or the incence, they shall extinguish it. The Post candles should be extinguished as well.
PX: HAIL, AND FAREWELL.
All shall repeat. PX will continue skywise to each Direction with each Tool with the same actions and words. They will return to the Starting Direction and wordlessly bow once more before returning to the Altar and extinguishing the green Earth candle.
PX: NOTHING EVER LASTS FOREVER. WE NOW GO SOFTLY INTO THE NIGHT.
The final action is to extinguish the Creator candles.
