My aforementioned former best friend. We became very close in university â she is a very lovely, very kind person â and even lived together at one point, but unfortunately drifted apart after she moved to a different country for work. Iâve not seen her in about a year, and havenât heard from her in a few months. I do very much hope sheâs happy and fulfilled, whatever sheâs doing.

There isnât any one person that comes to mind, really. I find it hard to connect to people and wonât stick around if I dislike someone. But generally, I dislike flakiness, lack of reciprocation, judginess, dismissiveness, emotional unavailability.
29:Â A reason Iâve lied to a friend
This was lying by omission because I was trying to be supportive but still â friend cheated on her then-partner and ended up meeting the love of her life, and Iâve never told her that I think it was incredibly shitty of her not to end the relationship sooner. Conversely Iâve never told her ex, with whom Iâm still friends, that she met her current partner by cheating on him rather than after the break-up. I worry that if I told him, heâd just end up hurting without any benefit to him, especially now that heâs moved on and is in a wonderful place in his life.
