07:23 PM OUTGOING CALL >> đ»
Job leans back at the curb outside his motel room, back against the wall and legs outstretched on the pavement and crossed at the ankles. He enjoys a smoke as he watches the sun set behind Faithâs seat, one arm bent behind his head, the other holding his old smartphone to his ear as he listens for the dial tone. Itâs been a couple of months since heâs heard anything from ThĂ©o at all or -- more likely -- that ThĂ©oâs heard anything from him. His brother is not exactly the kind to initiate texts or, God forbid, phonecalls -- probably because he thinks he has nothing of substance to say and wouldnât want to be a bother (especially if Natâs home, probably pestering him about Jobâs whereabouts) -- and Job, well... heâs been busy, kind of. He promised himself, after the breakup, that he would make more of an effort to call ThĂ©o more often -- but circumstances donât always allow for that to happen and, though Job is not looking to make excuses for himself -- this isnât quite the time for wallowing in self-deprecation either. Heâs calling now -- better late than never.
âHeeey, Thay!â He grins when he hears his brother growling a hoarse sound into the mouthpiece, quite possibly meant to be some sort of greeting. âHow goes it, man? I fuckinâ missed you too fuckin' much.â
