♤Mordecai was... an idiot. He will admit that. Maybe if he wasn't, the merman wouldn't couldn't be caught in a fishing net being hoisted out of the water.

The cerulean male was dared to do it by his best friend, Rigby. And of course, he wasn't gonna chicken out, so he swam close to the net, taking swipes at it with his dagger made from fish bone. He was so sure he could cut it through before the fisherman noticed, or his tail got caught when... Well, his tail got caught. He did his best not to panic and went to cut his long tail free when the boat moved, and he slammed his hand against it, making him drop his dagger. Rigby rushed to get it, but it was too late. The net began to raise and brought Mordecai along with it.

He twisted and turned as he neared the surface, hearing the humans boost about a large catch. Shit! It was too late as he broke through the surface, gasping into open air as he squirmed. He didn't even care that the humans began to stare in shock at seeing him. Oh, he was so dead.

Kagami shifted his attention from the tv to down at Atticus, his hand pausing in its occasional gentle run through the shorter male’s hair. It wasn’t until he was being asked that question that he really paid any mind to their current positions.

Thinking about it, he wasn’t sure how, or even when, they went from just sitting next to each other on his couch, to him sitting with Atticus’ head in his lap. He must’ve been really focused on the movie. He’d be lying, though, if he said he minded it at all.

 ♤Mordecai sighed as the warm water rain down his body, his shoulders slumping as his muscles relaxed. After a brutal work day, nothing was better then a hot shower and some cuddling with his lover afterwards. 

 The cerulean male slicked back his hair, reaching for the loaf when he froze as the bathroom door opened. Mismatch eyes blinked as he made out the outline of his lover through the fogged and hazy glass of the shower. “Atticus?” He called out before he opened the door, smiling at his lover as water drops slipped down his face. 

Viktor sat at a pew in the old church he had once called home, sketching the interior of the building. The poor building had seen better days, but to be fair the thing had been standing for more than 200 years. He had done his best to keep it looking nice enough for services, the priests sure appreciated his help. Even though he no longer lived there, the place was still important to him, so he would stop by often.

He turned his head to one of the stain glass windows and noticed that it was already night. “I should get home…” he thought as he closed his sketchbook. He pulled a pair of sunglasses out of his jacket and placed them on before heading for the door. Sure he looked ridiculous wearing sunglasses at night, but he’d rather be made fun of than have people judge him for his red eyes.

Just as he reached the door, Viktor heard a voice. He paused. A person? Here? Now? Why? But, wait. Something seemed off about the persons presence… Viktor couldn’t put his finger on it but something was off. “They are asking for help… go help them.” Viktor had a silent argument as he tried to coax himself outside to help the other. Human or not, he didn’t like dealing with others. He did eventually slowly open the door and looked around, only to see Atticus at the bottom of the stairs.
