Ghostie here :) Hope your work projects have been going well and you get to have a nice, relaxed weekend. I love the idea with the curated New Music playlist! I've been listening to Midnights in October by Dom Fera while writing. Warning: It's pretty sad.

I've been struggling a little these past few days- I've been sick, which has at least given me the time to finish my latest chapter. But it's the longest so far, and all I have gotten in terms of feedback was a literal two-word comment: "Very good." Which is nice, but after pouring my heart out for like 7,000+ words, it's not a lot. I know, I know, write for yourself ;) But getting any sort of response to something I love so much would be nice, you know? Well, any response in addition to "Very good," it's better than nothing, bless that person, haha.

ANYWAY, long story short, here's one of my fav parts from the recent chapter. L and C have just learned pretty big things about each other. They've been best friends for many years but have been growing apart even before L left for college, partly because of these secrets.

-- "I'm sorry." Saying it now won't make a difference, but L cannot possibly keep it in. When she sees C's confused expression, she goes on. "I wish we could have talked about this while you were still alive. I wish I could go back and do things differently. How did we get here? Why did we…?" She doesn't really know how to finish her question. Why did we stop being a part of each other's lives?

One look into her friend's eyes tells her that she knows exactly what L is talking about. "I'm sorry, too. That I wasn't the person you felt you could trust with this big secret. And that I didn't trust you with mine. Guess we both kinda fucked this up, huh?" C tries to laugh, but L knows what her sobs sound like. She didn't know ghosts could cry. --

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about this! My workload piles up like crazy... and I got very engrossed in planning a story I'm writing with a friend :)

Ah no, being ill really sucks... I trust you're feeling better now? I understand what you mean about feedback too, but I'm sure more people will feedback on it soon! I'd love to read the whole story some day :D

Aww that last chapter sounds soo sad, but really good at the same time! It really shows how close they were even though they drifted apart, that closure moment hits the nail on the head, the acknowledgement from both sides that things could have been different... but they're together now :) You're such an amazing writer!!
