It was then that pasty, pudgy Teora raised her eyes from the creamcakes on her plate. "It is dragons."
"Dragons?" said her mother. "Teora, don't be mad."
"I'm not. They're coming."
"How could you possibly know that?" her sister asked, with a note of scorn in her voice. "One of your little dreams?"
Teora gave a tiny nod, chin trembling. "They were dancing. In my dream. And everywhere the dragons danced the people died."

This is a story from Ghost Hill, in Canada. It’s a short one, about a tourist’s experience there.
I’ve mentioned Ghost Hill before. It’s a steep, dangerous hill full of eerie things, where the supernatural seems to be drawn to. It draws a lot of attention from people who study the supernatural as well as people looking for a good scare.
Once upon a time, a man went out for a jog in the early morning, and his route took him to Ghost Hill. He didn’t know the place, so he assumed it was just like any other hilly road and started up it.
It was still dark, cool and pleasant. And after a while, he realized there was someone jogging along behind him. He thought the person seemed to glow: reflective clothing, he figured at first.
He went back to jogging, then checked back again, and there the figure was, closing in on him. And it was only then he realized that the man following him wasn’t just glowing, but translucent, and he had no head.
The jogger quickly became a terrified sprinter. The ghost continued to follow at a good speed, although the runner managed to outdistance it at the top of the hill. The man, by this point, was exhausted and stumbled to a bench to sit down and try to catch his breath, terrified of what he had seen.
Except then he looked up and saw the ghost had reappeared, jogging calmly towards him. He watched as the headless man sat down on the other side of the bench, then said, quite cheerfully: “What a nice run that was!”
The man exclaimed something back like: “Yes, and I’ve got my second wind, so I think I’m going for another!”
The man bolted off the bench and ran back down the hill, this time quickly outdistancing the ghost even as it followed after him. Past the bottom of the hill, the frantic jogger finally stopped to catch his breath again, and he remembered seeing the headless ghost approaching again, but this time vanishing as it reached the boundaries of Ghost Hill.
Although the man never went back, he always believed that the ghost runner was still there, waiting for another footrace.

"I got a letter.
The name on the envelope said 'Sissel.'
My wife's name...
It's ridiculous, couldn't possibly be true...
That's what I keep telling myself...
A dead person can't write a letter.
Sissel died of that damn disease three years ago.
So then why am I looking for her?
Our 'special place'...
What could she mean?
This whole town was our special place.
Does she mean the park on the lake?
We spent the whole day there.
Just the two of us, staring at the water.
