#ghost fans

you say you care about Tobias’ wellbeing or mental health and then get told that you’re “infantilising” him??? Okay so simply caring about a dude who has helped you through your own struggles isn’t allowed, you can’t write stories how you want, can’t hc what you want, can’t have a different opinion, a preference, you can’t find Tobias hot or you’re some kind of sick twisted pervert, hell some people even have an issue with us finding the Papa characters hot, like can everyone just calm the fuck down and stop trying to dictate this fandom like some kind of god?

Tumblr is literally the only place where people have been like 95% great and chill, but even a few assholes are creeping in here and trying to ruin the fun for us, I hate being scared to say anything lately, holy fucking shit???

I’m just so damn tired of it all, constant arguing, torches and pitchforks and petty drama, Tobias would literally hate this btw

I'm a PhD student at Falmouth University and I'm writing my dissertation/thesis on queer Ghost fandom on tumblr.

my study aims to explore queer fan participation on Ghost Tumblr through discourse/textual analysis of Tumblr posts, links to academic subcultural theories, and the experiences of myself and others in the fandom.

interviewing Ghost fans will help make sure I “get it right” - this dissertation is our project, not just my project.
