"No shit-!" He hisses, face twisted in a grimace from the pain shooting up his arm. Fighting curses wasn't always easy, but more often than not he was able to get away without more than a few scrapes and bruises, maybe a concussion at worst - this was not one of those times. It was his first solo mission against a special-grade curse, and while he did manage to exorcise and absorb the thing, it wasn't without a cost - and now he's here in the infirmary, trying to do a lot of things at once: trying not to snap at Shoko for not just getting down to business and healing him, trying not to look at his mangled arm, and most difficult of all, trying not to cry and/or scream from the sheer agony. Because he's above that. Totally. And he doesn't want his friends to be able to hold that above his head for the rest of the year, "Can you just- fix it, please? You can fix it, right?"
