Neutral Element had Fem!Martellus, and it was only a background detail among what was posted, so I don't know if there's already firm ideas you had of her?

But recently I've been thinking more (or at least attempting to) about Gender Things in my reading and writing, and I kind of accidentally tripped face-first into Some Thoughts about the possibilities of Fem!Martellus as a concept.

And none of my current WIPs or ideas really fit with the specific concept in my head, so this is me reaching out to ask if you would like to hear about it. (No pressure.)

I never planned that swap very deeply - Tweedle and Seffie were much less established-feeling characters at the time - except that they're both still the same general genre of person as in canon, so Martella is large and booming and overreachingly ambitious in ways that are somewhat novel and compelling in a fictional woman, and Xerxsephnius by retaining most of the same mannerisms becomes somewhat of an Artemis Fowl type.

The single (I think?) published conversation noting them was supposed to imply the broad gestures of Tweedle responding to being an older member of her generation who's been excluded from inheriting the big fairytale title but whose baby brother is in the running by gunning for a power-behind-the-throne, team-work-makes-the-dream-work, I'm-gonna-get-that-title-for-you-bby-let's-crush-your-enemies situation. Which given how their relationship seems to work Seffie is like, broadly in favor of/a mix of sincerely invested in the goal and humoring her about the details, but Tweedle isn't conscientious about checking in with him before charging ahead on things. I don't recall if I came up with a handwave for how Martella stayed out of her uncle's spark-crunching murder basement. If one were to actually dig in on genderbending Martellus, it would probably be more interesting to actually explore that?
