TBH I’m not a big fan of music being a competition , bragging about numbers , being number 69 on beatport etc but I always hear how amazing Canada is supporting the arts via grants to make albums , helping independent musicians collaborate, record in nice studios , get music promoted , make videos and even funding to make vinyl. I’d love to be able to do more of these things for me and the label Really Good Recordings, things like the music awards can help be more visible to the people that give grants which is Really Good!!! Everyone knows the impact COVID-19 has had taking away musicians main income from touring and it’s been amazing to see everyone making and creating during these times. I don’t expect or care to win but Congrats to all the nominees in every category.
