An area of low pressure will move east through the region today, bringing snow to parts of the area this evening, mainly near and south of the Ohio River. High pressure will bring drier conditions on Thursday and Friday, before another low pressure system moves into the area on Saturday night, with precipitation expected for the second half of the weekend.
The latest surface chart. An occluded low over the Great Lakes region continues to move east, the cold front will south through the Indiana & Ohio keeping temps on the cool side, but with the clouds clearing out, the sun will help us reach temps in the mid 40's. Look for some wind gusts associated with the tight pressure gradient. Wind being out of the northwest bringing the colder air south will keep it dry. Even though the sun is directly overhead at noon, the max temp for the day happens around 4 P.M.
