which is worse to you: the same hawaiian rolls packaged abs mandude or the fake, weird photoshop 3d model dudes from some of the erotic Ellora's Cave books?

honestly, it’s the hawaiian roll abs that are worse to me. I mean yeah, we can laugh at the weird cgi stuff but at least there, there might be a chance for something that’s creative and fits the book nicely.

I always feel like book covers that are just naked torsos completely misjudge what I want out of most romance novels. Sexiness is great, don’t get me wrong, but imo it’s a lot sexier when you have some mystery.

Like yeah, there’s still more exposed chest than most people probably would’ve had out in public, but he’s like 90% clothed and it’s just a hint?? which is so much better??

Ok, so this super random but I could not pass up on this. My roommate was watching this anime, Blood Blockade Battlefront while we ate dinner. I looked up at one point and this one character, Deldro Brody, comes across the screen and I legit just screamed, “IT’S VOIDSTER” and now cannot unsee him. XD

Oh god, how do I even choose? There were so many bad ones.

I’d have to say one that I still really loathe is Pushing 30 by Whitney Gaskell. It’s a may-december romance between an absolutely awful younger woman whose train of thought when it comes to her life or other women is nothing but catty stereotypes of women, and a handsome older newscaster who was actually?? pretty swoonworthy?? The leading lady’s internal dialogue was just awful, including things like:

The check came, and I put up a weak protest when Ted took it. This is something that we women do–we insist that it’s our turn to treat, all the while knowing full well that if the man made the faux pas of passing us the bill, it would be the death knell to the burgeoning relationship.

and other hits like:

and forgotten b-sides like:

Yeah I know! The mod is putting everyone in the same rough age groups to avoid a situation where a minor asks an adult for porn. But then they have to figure out what to do with the people that asked for porn, because it was stated to be a SFW event. But people went ahead and put in porn requests anyway.
