The first job I had after leaving the Mormon church was at a law office in Portland, Oregon. The person training me was leading me around the office and mentioned that making coffee would be one of my first duties in the morning. "Oh, cool," I replied, trying not to freak out. I made a mental note of the brand and then furiously searched Google to figure out how to do something I'd never done in my whole life.
