My cousin wanted to go somewhere for the upcoming long weekend. I really don't like planning trips with other people because most of the time it ends up being a “drawing”. We couldn't agree on a place, she doesn't wanna spend too much (and so do I) but wants to stay in a hotel room and somewhere far away. I suggested Zambales because there's a lot of affordable places there but since its surfing season and a long weekend my cousin thought it would be crowded. She suggested Batangas, or Laguna, and then just in Antipolo, and then EK. Super labo, like ano ba talaga?
I already know we won't be able to push through our plan because she's so undecided and we want different things. I badly wanted to go somewhere and I could really use a quick getaway so I made up my mind and  immediately booked at Circle Hostel in Zambales just for a 1 night stay. And since I'm the adventurous type, I will be sleeping in a hammock! I wasn't able to try surfing when I first when to Zambales, so this time I will be trying it out. Let's see how things go, I might extend an additional night if I do meet other people or enjoy my stay there.
There's just something about the beach that makes me happy. Going on beach trips alone helps me clear my mind and reflect on a lot of things. This will be my third solo trip alone for the year. I guess Zambales is officially my favorite place. It will also be my third time there for this year and my fifth visit overall. I'm so lucky because my parents trust me enough and they're fine with me making plans on my own or going on solo trips as long as I tell them where I'm going and when. Besides, I don't ask for any money from them. Ahhh can't wait to be back at the beach!!
