I just redid that errand in Meridian Village with the bickering “partners, er, silent partners” Lorund and Smiling Ranin. Their dialogue and ambient dialogue shows they’ve been together for a long while, even before they started that business venture, so at this point, especially with the tone of the bickering, I’m quasi certain they’re an actual couple, even if it’s not explicit like in other places in the game. (it’s my headcanon anyway)
Otherwise, Ranin, I don’t think that doing metal tinkering with a silk apron is very reasonable, really xD
Side thought : where do they get the silk ? I really don’t see silkworms being reintroduced as part of GAIA’s basic animal/insect reintroduction… oO (but maybe she did).
