Gerard Ortín participates in OPENLAB#02 The Metabolic Sublime at Medialab Matadero, where he has explored the environment of new energies together with a wide interdisciplinary community of artists, citizens and experts.
His project, Bliss Point, is a film that researches the emergence of new food regimes. Through a fragmented journey, the film ranges from the perception and representation of food to the technologies that make its production and circulation possible. In the context of OPENLAB, Gerad will present the first part of this project, developed during his residency at Medialab.

Gerard is an artist, filmmaker and researcher. His latest film Agrilogistics (2022) premiered at the Berlinale and won the award for best national film at the last edition of Documenta Madrid.

Gerard Ortín participa en el OPENLAB#02 El sublime metabólico en Medialab Matadero, donde ha explorado junto a una amplia comunidad interdisciplinar de artistas, ciudadanos y expertos el entorno de las nuevas energías.
Su proyecto, Bliss Point, es una película que indaga sobre la emergencia de nuevos regímenes alimentarios. A través de un recorrido fragmentado, el film abarca desde la percepción y representación de la comida hasta las tecnologías que posibilitan su producción y circulación. En el contexto de OPENLAB se presenta la primera parte de este proyecto, desarrollada durante su residencia en Medialab.
